[Front] Using this with a Sony VPL 365ES. Nice combo. My only thought is I wish it has a masking option.....

[16:9] After correspondence with B&H on product lines and availability , I selected the cinema contour to marry up with the projector specifications that were needed. It also worked well with the acoustic demands of the in wall speakers hidden behind it . The result was spot on. Excellent price coupled with exceptional performance. B&H got the job done. Pro service for pro contractors.

[Front] What a difference ,the picture is bright and detailed I did not think that it would have that much effect on the image...I went from a sound transparent screen to this and had to move the center channel but totally worth it!

[Front] I had a Stewart filmscreen in my old house media room and LOVED it. Had it for 11 years when it was cutting edge to have an HD projector and 110 screen. When we moved I was looking forward to getting another great screen but was worried about the price. The first one cost a bundle. Then I found these CIMA screens. Stewart quality and amazing appearance for an incredibly competitive price. HIGHLY recommend.

[Front] This is my fourth ALR (ambient light reflecting) screen.

The first thing to know is, there are no miracle screens. There are good ALR screens, but none perform miracles. Even the best don't show a great picture in a really bright room. The second thing to know is, don't necessarily believe the promotional pictures and videos from manufacturers that show amazing screen performance. They have positioned the screens, projectors and cameras to show the screens at their very best. You are unlikely to duplicate this in a real world situation.

Almost all ALR screens have, to one extent or another, a major problem – screen artifacts. Shimmering, hot spots, sparkles, grainy appearance and so on. In order to eliminate this problem I have owned four different screens. My newest one, which wasn't available when I first started my quest for better picture quality, the Da-Lite Parallax, has none of these problems. Zero!

The Parallax probably doesn't have quite as good of ambient light rejection properties as some of the other screens, but with some light control and careful placement of light sources, you can still have light in the room and a great picture.

A great artifact free picture is really important now that we have 4K material to watch.

[ChromaWhite ISF] The full video review will eventually be on KuhlToys.com, but for now suffice it to say if you want the real theater experience the right way to do it is to have the speakers behind the screen.

I do have a couple of simple suggestions about the build, so please read on.

We had two problems, both I think related.

The instructions are small, I know most men don't read them so I am sure they were trying to save paper, and I didn't read them all the way before I started.

There is a center support bar that needs a nut inserted into the slot before you finish the frame but the nut is isn't mentioned until after you finish applying the material.

I had to undo one end, pull the frame apart and insert the bolts. Then it took two people to stretch the frame the 1/16 extra to insert the support bar. This made the material wrinkle.

It took several attempts to get the wrinkles out.

My guess is to put the nuts in while building the frame, and install the center bar(s) before attaching the screen material.

This is a bright white screen that looks great in a dark room, you'll need a projector with deep blacks. A touch of grey might help with the blacks for cheaper projectors, but that screen is twice the price, and won't do 4k (yet).

The acoustics are very clean and we haven't seen any artifacts or blurring from the fabric using a Optoma 1080p projector (also purchased from B&H). We are waiting for someone to send us a 4k to review or prices to drop just a little more.

There is a black fabric backing so no need to paint the wall flat black like some other brands.

Hanging was a piece of cake, and we are considering adding the LED kit, just because the screen looks so cool.

Our setup is pretty simple THX video compliant and 5.1 with two seats in a screening room type setup.

Total Install Time about 1 hour, mostly for the redo part.

[16:9] I have in dedicated media room with total light control so it works really well. I wouldn’t recommend it for room that doesn’t have total light control. Assembly wasn’t too bad it took me about an hour to get it assembled.
