Whichever channel you choose, the Tone Cut knob across the power-amp stage gives you even more control over your signal's high end. Also, both channels utilize the onboard tremolo and reverb, both of which can be manipulated using a footswitch (available separately).

Turn your attention to the back of the amplifier and you'll see a 1/4" extension jack for powering an extra 16 Ohm speaker, as well as a 1/4" external speaker output. Using the external speaker jack will mute signal to the internal cabinet, though you can hook up both 8 Ohm and 16 Ohm cabinets, so long as you set the impedance switch accordingly. You'll also notice a footswitch input, through which you can toggle reverb and tremolo with the tap of your toes.

A: The Midland MXT275J Jeep MicroMobile 15W Two-Way GMRS Radio does not have an internal battery. It is designed for semi-permanent installation inside of a vehicle.

Q: 9. The specs indicate GMRS channels are 1-7 and 15-22. What are the uses for channels 8-14 and are there any channels beyond 22?

A: Channels 8-14 on the Midland MicroMobile MXT275 15-Channel Two-Way GMRS Radio are only allowed up to 0.5 watts of power by the FCC. Since the MXT275 is not capable of transmitting at such a low power, these channels have been removed from the radio. The FRS/GMRS frequency range has a standard 22 channels.
