Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work on a Fujifilm 90mm F2.0?

A: The lens comes with a a hood but, yes, this hood will fit the 90mm.

Q: 2. what focal length is this hood for?

A: I use this on several lenses. I can push it back to make it smaller, it is great for packing and taking on trips, it has never interfered with any photo when in full out mode or pushed back. Its is great, but I would buy two, once you begin using this, you will love it so much if you loose it or misplace it, it will drive you nuts. Hard hoods will be a thing of the past.

Q: 3. Regarding the heliopan 62mm Long Metal Lens Hood, what is its o.d. (outer diameter) ? And overall height/length ?

A: It is 64.0mm O.D, 29.9mm long, exclusive of threads.

Q: 4. hello this works in a 70-300mm of nikon?

A: Hi, this lens hood isn't long enough for a telephoto lens like a 70-300mm; this is the lens hood for a Nikon 70-300mm lens: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/207367-USA/Nikon_4696_HB_26_Bayonet_Lens_Hood.html

Q: 5. Could this be used on a Nikon 62mm polarizing filter to allow easily turning the polarizer?

A: Absolutely.

Q: 6. Will this fit a Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-60mm lens?

A: As the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-60mm f/2.8-4 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens uses 62mm filter thread, the Heliopan 62mm Long Metal Lens Hood would be compatible for use with the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-60mm f/2.8-4 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens. Do note that the Heliopan 62mm Long Metal Lens Hood is designed for telephoto lenses, and as such, you may experience some vignetting when using this lens hood on your lens.

Q: 7. Conflicting information. Product Description claims that you can reverse the hood bu the reviewer says that that it doesn't? Also, The product description claims that you can use a 62mm filter (on a 62mm Lens hood) but a reviewer states that it takes a bigger filter? What is the correct statement in both Cases?

A: I had to use this lens hood on my Sony Rx10 II because Sony doesn't sell replacement hoods(!). This hood easily reverses and I can use a 62mm protective filter with the hood in place. If one were to use a 62mm circular polarizer or ND fader, it is very difficult to rotate the filter since the filter threads are recessed deeply into the hood mount. This is the case with my thin Cokin Harmonie circular polarizer. It is probably easier to use a thicker circular polarizer with this hood mount.

Q: 8. Will this attach if I have a screw-on polarizing filter on my lens?

A: As long as your filter has front threads of 62mm you can use this hood in front of it.

Q: 9. Will this hood be usable for both wide-angle and telephoto lenses? (30mm and 90mm)

A: Most likely. There is a slight chance of viginetting with a 30mm and it can't provide the full protection a longer shade would with a long lens. Odds are it will be a good compromise for use with both.

Q: 10. Does this hood rotate clockwise / counterclockwise, or is there some level of resistance or locking to prevent unwanted spinning out of normal position?

A: The Sensei 62mm Quick Clip Lens Hood is a non dedicated lens hood. It screws on like a filter and unlike dedicated hoods it does not lock into position.

[Brass] Bought specifically to use with my GF lenses for the Fuji GFX 50r. Truly does give a more filmic look right to the RAW files. Great for back light and creating natural lens flare. Skin texture is lovely as well.

[Glass] I recently purchased the K&F Concept 1/4 Black Mist Filter from B&H, and it has quickly become one of my favorite photography accessories. This filter adds a touch of enchantment to my shots, softening highlights and infusing them with a subtle misty quality. It strikes the perfect balance at 1/4 strength, preserving critical details while creating a dreamy atmosphere. B&H's seamless shopping experience and prompt delivery made the purchase a breeze. I'm thoroughly impressed with both the product and B&H's exceptional service. The K&F 1/4 Black Mist Filter has unlocked a new dimension of creativity in my photography, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

[Brass] I purchased a Nikon 500mm f5.6 and this filter to protect it. This filter does not interfere with the lens hood and the lens cap snaps into it fine. I liked the high light transmissiveness for the price.

[62 mm] This is my first variable ND filter I've ever owned. Surprisingly there's little to no information regarding K&F filters on this site. My research mostly was based on youtube and amazon. Here is my experience with it so far:

The filter comes to a hard stop when turning to the minimum and maximum stops which avoids the dreaded X pattern you see on most variable ND filters. There doesn't seem to be any noticeable color cast which is nice. I found that if you're shooting outdoors on a sunny day at f2.8 or faster, the 5 stop maximum might not be dark enough to keep a proper exposure. I would've liked the filter to be a 2-6 stop rather than a 2-5 stop for those bright sunny days but I'm nitpicking at this point. Overall, I am very happy with the filter. I was expecting it to have many flaws since the price is much lower than most variable NDs. Highly recommend!

[0.505 lb] great ND filter. I have a 3-stop, just not quite enough, and a 10-top too much, I wanted something to fill the gap and this was a great fit for my needs and how I shot.
