[1800 W] this camera system is very convenient and easy to set up and use along with the Wi-Fi smart plugs i recommended to my friend at and he bought both plugs and camera and loves it

[1x 3-Prong] I purchased these specifically to monitor power usage in my home computer lab. I had to fight a little with the Kasa app to configure them, but once configured they have integrated perfectly with Prometheus to monitor power consumption, and with Home Assistant for remote control (without using Kasa's cloud-based app).

I'm not a typical user, but these are working well for my needs.

[1x 3-Prong] After successfully using the Kasa 6 port HS-300 for a year, I decided to try these EP25 Smart Plugs. I want all of my smart plugs to have the energy/power monitoring feature. I am very happy that the EP25 plugs can work simultaneously with the Kasa app, the Apple Home app and also with Home Assistant! When I turn an EP25 on or off in any of those 3 controllers, the change is reflected in all 3 controllers in less than 1 second. The Apple Home app is the simplest way for non-tech people in my family to control these smart plugs. Kasa app is also very easy to use and provides power information. The Home Assistant is very powerful and customizeable and provides an incredible amount of information about these devices which is useful for people who really want to learn the finer points of home automation functions. I expect to buy more of these EP25 smart plugs. I have owned various TP-Link devices during the past 20 years and found them to be reliable, affordable and well designed. These EP25 devices live up to my expectations.

[Polycarbonate] I strongly prefer the Apple ecosystem over the Amazon or Google ecosystems.

These devices are simple on/off switches but so far they do that quite well.

[0.46 lb] I had so many difficulties trying to get the plugs installed and working with Apple's Home App. I was amazed at the wonderful support from the manufacturer, it took some time to get things working right but they did not give up on helping me. Best support I have received from a company in a long time. It turns out the problems were on my end because of the setup between our Starlink satellite and the mesh system we have. Diagnosing the problem took a while but once it was done the plugs worked well and I am very happy with them.

[Power, Status] A full 15 amps with energy monitoring and easy to use software for scheduling etc. Excellent product and a great price. B&H is also a superb supplier. No complaints.

[0.46 lb] This device was very easy to set up and use -- it took 5 minutes tops.


My primary purpose for buying was for the energy monitoring. With it I was able to determine within a day that a computer I own was drawing a lot of power in idle -- another day in sleep mode and power draw was at 2% what it had been when not in use! I also was able to roughly calculate the monthly cost of a couple devices I own that stay on regularly.

I did not buy these for the smart features, but I've ended up using it for powering on an off a fan I use to sleep at night! This functionality also works very well and is easy to use (and because of it I won't accidentally run a fan during the day).


Would highly recommend this product if you're not a part of some bigger smart-home ecosystem. It's cheaper than most things out there and works very well, very easily.
