Within the TX-8470 are a wide range of technologies that support robust music streaming in your home. Access the internet over Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection, utilize Chromecast built-in, take advantage of Apple AirPlay 2, or stream over Bluetooth. The TX-8470 is compatible with a wide range of popular online services, such as Spotify, Amazon Music HD, Tidal, Deezer, TuneIn Radio, and Pandora.

With two pair of speaker terminals, the TX-8470 can switch between two pair of speakers in the same room, or audio can simultaneously be played in two different locations. When outputting to only one set of speakers (A or B), they can run between 4 to 16 or 6 to 16 Ohms. With both in use (A + B), each pair will run between 8 and 16 Ohms.

If your home is part of the Sonos home audio ecosystem, you can integrate the TX-8470 into your speaker system and control it with the Sonos app.

Send music in two different rooms or send a unique source to a second room using TX-8470's Zone 2 pre/line output.

If the turntable does not have an internal preamp, then you would need to use a standalone phono preamplifier between the turntable and the TX-SR393 receiver, like BH #BEVP549 or B&H # ROVP29 for example.

[120 VAC, 60 Hz] I bought this receiver to replace my 20+ yo Onkyo TX-NR900 that finally gave out on me. I took another reviewer's advice by going with the NR6100 over a higher model because they said the extra 20 watts was not worth paying twice as much. Plus, there was no need to have 9.2-channels just to play records in my den. I'm very happy I did because this receiver is every bit a worthy 2023 successor to my old, trusty, NR900. It does everything I need and more! The built-in bluetooth is nice and having a central hub that connects all of your devices via HDMI really helps organize your entertainment options. I haven't even explored wireless speaker options yet and looking forward to streaming some tunes to the back porch. Before buying this receiver, I tried with a Denon DRA-800H and it was a disaster. I'm thankful for B&H's return policy and would definitely purchase from them again. 5

[2.0] Bought the 6100 to be the heart of a Klipsch RP-600M II 2.1 home theater & 2 channel music system. It works very well at this (discounted) price point. I added two Klipsch SPL-100 10" subwoofers (50% discount). Equalization for these speakers is designed into this AV receiver. Really impressive system at this price point. 5

[Yes] For the first time I really feel as though my system is performing at the level it should. Moved up from an Onkyo 6100 and have had several surround systems from Denon and others over the years. Last system I moved to a 5.1.2 setup. It didn't really pop until the RZ50. 5

[120 VAC, 60 Hz] I compared this side by side a Denon 3800h expecting the Denon to win.. I was very wrong, the soundstage created by this receiver was seamless and more coherent than anything I ever got with years using Denon receivers with Audyssey xt32! The whole sound has more body as well even without having tweak the curves after calibration like you must do with Denon. It's missing auro3d but I don't like that anyway. Get a miniDSP if you need control over more than one sub not collocated and enjoy amazing sound! 5
