Q: 1. I hear a lot about how previous Elinchrom users complain that the Elinchrom mount is not very sturdy and can wear out easily. Can someone clarify and share their experience with this issue? Has the mount on your strobe (and any light modifiers) worn out yet, or do they function fine?

A: Hi,The Elinchrom mount is very sturdy and robust! The issue some users encounter is mounting it on a C-Stand type spigot. Different manufacturers of C-Stands, booms and other types of spigots have different depths between the top of the mount and the part where it recesses and then the bottom of the mount. The Elinchrom receiver is designed to ANSI standards for a 5/8 /16mm spigot. Usually this is a threaded top style type spigot. There is an adapter coming from KUPO which will address this and allow users who use C-Stands or spigots with the different depth.KG013212 will be available in stores by the end of April.I hope this helps.Regards,Will HBrand Manager Lighting, Mac Group US

Q: 3. Withe respects to ELC Pro HD 1000 flash duration is it the same as the ELC Pro HD 500 when used at the same lower power? not full power.

A: The flash duration is longer on the ELC Pro HD 1000 versus the ELC Pro HD 500.

Q: 4. Can you shoot TTL mode with an Elinchrom Pro HD 500?

A: No You can't. The profoto b1 does

Q: 5. Can I make the 46mm fit my 35mm 1.4 lens?

A: If your 35mm f/1.4 lens has a 46mm diameter, like this one, this cap will fit it: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/720355-USA/Leica_11663_35mm_f_1_4_Summilux_M_Aspherical.html

Q: 6. Does buying a single ELC Pro HD 1000 head come with the flash tube?

Q: 7. Will the ELC Pro HD 500 work with the Skyport Speed Transmitter?

A: It will fire and adjust the flash, but the Pro HD 500 is not optimized for Hi-Sync because of its very short flash durations.

Q: 8. How to keep the Modeling Light on continuously for the Elinchrom ELC Pro HD 500?

A: To turn on the modeling lamp, you would press the button that looks like an image of the sun on the right-hand side of the back of the light fixture. By pressing the button, you can scroll through the options OFF, FREE, which would allow you to to set the modeling lamp output to whichever setting you prefer, and PROP, which would set the output of the modeling lamp proportional to the output of the flash tube. The modeling lamp is designed to shut off momentarily when you trigger the strobe. However, it can be set to also dim temporarily when the flash is triggered, then return to full output power if you have VFC (Visual Flash Confirmation) set on the monolight. Also note that the modeling lamp is designed to switch off automatically at high internal temperatures due to the modeling light's overheat protection function. After cooling off, the halogen modeling lamp will switch back on automatically. Do note that this is a strobe unit, not a continuous light fixture

Q: 9. Do I have to change the modeling light in order to use his unit in 220v ? Thanks folks

A: Yes; either change it or remove it.Multi-voltage auto-detection: 90-265VAC excluding modeling lamp

Q: 10. Will this fit my sigma f1.4 30mm lens?

[Brass] Seems to be reasonable quality. Nice slim ring for wide angle lens.

[Glass] A filter like this is a MUST HAVE if you want to level up how your images (for photography and video) look in broad, intense daylight in one fell swoop.

They reduce the overall amount of light coming in the camera so you can stop down for a beautiful optically blurred out background and heavily reduce intense sunlight reflections, virtually adding dynamic range in daylight. I knew this would help my shots but my jaw dropped when a got the footage back from testing locations for a project, with and without. (attached photos are screen grabs of video. Shot on Sony A74, Sigma 24-70 f2.8) *Note: This is my first ND filter and first polarizer.

My testing has found a slight cyan cast in the area where sunlight can hit the lens where shadows can be seen, it looks almost dreamy and I kind of like it, but not perfectly color preserving. With Nano-X Pro, I have not encountered any dark X pattern no mater how I adjusted it, which is far better than most Variable ND + Circular Polarizer filters on the market. The included pouch is made of materials that feel great in the hand and its pull tab that makes the filter rise out of the pouch is a very nice touch that makes me wish K&F Concept included this pouch with more filters and also sold separately. I want other filters in these things! (Wile they do sell other pouches. They do not sell the ones included with these filters.)

If you are on the fence and don't have a ND or polarizer, just get it. It took a while for Polar Pro to finally release something like this, and the price of this one STILL undercuts it. If you are a videographer/photographer, image quality is super important and this is a fantastic tool to help you properly expose your shots. There is a reason why Directors of Photography have built in ND filters on their wish list for their cinema cameras and this is why, it makes their job so much easier and allows them to focus on building the look that they want.

[UV] Bought specifically to use with my GF lenses for the Fuji GFX 50r. Truly does give a more filmic look right to the RAW files. Great for back light and creating natural lens flare. Skin texture is lovely as well.

[0.495 lb] The K&F Concept Nano-X Filters are well made. I've purchased two 67 mm and one 77 mm and all three fit my lenses perfectly. Optically they have no practical effect on image resolution or light transmission and produce no added glare. These are well-made, reasonably priced filters with exceptional optical performance. It's amazing how much multi-coating technology has improved in the last decade and K & F seems to be fully competitive with the best filters available anywhere.

[46 mm] I purchased a Nikon 500mm f5.6 and this filter to protect it. This filter does not interfere with the lens hood and the lens cap snaps into it fine. I liked the high light transmissiveness for the price.

[Brass] I recently purchased the K&F Concept 1/4 Black Mist Filter from B&H, and it has quickly become one of my favorite photography accessories. This filter adds a touch of enchantment to my shots, softening highlights and infusing them with a subtle misty quality. It strikes the perfect balance at 1/4 strength, preserving critical details while creating a dreamy atmosphere. B&H's seamless shopping experience and prompt delivery made the purchase a breeze. I'm thoroughly impressed with both the product and B&H's exceptional service. The K&F 1/4 Black Mist Filter has unlocked a new dimension of creativity in my photography, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
