At the heart of the BTR15 is the dual ES9219MQ DAC chips, which handle sample rates and resolutions up to 384 kHz / 32-bit. This DAC is housed alongside the Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth chip to provide support for Bluetooth 5.1, as well as Bluetooth aptX and SBC.

The enclosure is crafted from hot-bent curved glass on the front and back with an aluminum alloy middle frame, which provides ample protection, as well as a space-age 3D aesthetic that not only looks great, but is easy to handle. Due to the BTR15's ability to work as a Bluetooth receiver and as a USB DAC, FiiO have implemented a PC/BT/Phone mode button. With just a click of a button you can switch between three different modes to match your current scenario for listening to high-quality music.

  • PC: Connect as a USB DAC totally powered by the computer.
  • BT: Bluetooth DAC and amp powered by the BTR15's internal battery; when connected via USB, it can be charged.
  • Phone: Connect to a phone as a USB DAC dongle, powered by the BTR15's internal battery.

The BTR15 features a global parametric equalizer (PEQ). Through FiiO's self-developed PEQ algorithm and user interface, in any mode you can choose the exact frequencies to be adjusted along with their gain levels and bandwidth, allowing you to fine-tune the sound exactly the way you want it.

The BTR15 employs the high-performance combination of the Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth chip + XMOX 16-core XU316 that supports stable high-res audio playback in any mode, allowing you more ways to immerse yourself in the world of high-quality hi-res music.

The BTR15 supports MQA Full Decoder, allowing for complete compatibility with any music app, resulting in high-resolution, master-level sound quality in reasonably sized files well-suited for mobile devices.

The BTR15 features hot-bent curved glass embedded on both the front and the rear of the device, delivering an attractive 3D appearance that's easy to hold. With the aluminum middle frame and curved glass, the BTR15 is comfortable to handle, and once you pick it up, you won't be able to put it down.

The brilliant 0.96" OLED display provides more information with a larger font making it easy to see the device status or change settings. The display is offered in Chinese and English languages.

In addition to the standard 3.5mm single-ended headphone output, the BTR15 also comes with a 4.4mm balanced headphone output. The dual outputs ensure you can use the BTR15 with an extra set of headphones for more remarkable listening experiences.

FiiO's engineers carefully designed an independent power supply system for the powering the dual ES9219MQ DAC and the headphone amplifier. By separating the power, the BTR15 provides low noise and high-current increasing the output 340mW of pure power, easily powering most headphones.

Battery Isolation

  • When connected to a computer and used in USB DAC mode for long periods of time, the BTR15 can stop the battery from being charged and can be totally powered by the computer, avoiding battery degradation.

Durable High-Temperature Resistant Battery

  • More resistant against high temperatures for longer durability

Built-In Temperature Sensor

  • Dynamic charge and discharge detection
  • Automatic current adjustment based on temperature effectively prevents thermal damage to the battery

Q: 1. Can I listen to the tv at the same time someone hard of hearing uses a bluetooth headphones?

A: It depends on the model of your TV. Some models allow audio to go through the internal speakers of the television while using the optical audio output on that same television going into the Fiio BTA30 Pro.

Q: 2. Is this spelt bus-powered via USB? If so, can a USB 1.0 plug power this with a USB C-to-A adapter? I don't have an empty usb-c port

A: Yes you can use a USB cable like BH #PEUSB3CMAM6 to connect the Fiio BTA30 to a USB Type-A input.

A: Receivers do not typically have outputs available for compatibility with a bluetooth transmitter. Some receivers have an RCA output for Zone 2 output. You can use the Fiio BTA30 Pro as a bluetooth receiver with your AV receiver by going from the RCA Line Outputs into the included RCA cable and then into one of the RCA stereo inputs on your AV receiver. If your AV receiver has RCA output, you can use BH #GEATVDA to convert the signal to optical, so that you can go into the optical input of the Fiio BTA 30 Pro and use it as a transmitter.

[USB-C ] I purchased this to upgrade from two prior Fiio DACs when I purchased a set of 300ohm headphones. The two prior Fiio devices have served me well for many years but did not have the balanced output to run the 300ohm headphones.
This little device sounds great and is a great design. Fiio spent some time drawing up the features on this one.
Love it!!

[Single Channel] I know it seems kind of expensive, but if you want to clip the Go blu to your clothes you kind of need it. That being said, it is really nice quality. It's two-tone stitched genuine leather. It looks hand made. The only quibble I'd have is you can't push the Go blu too far down in the case or the volume knob will rub. Also, you pretty much have to turn the knob from the top because it doesn't stick out far enough from the case. The button in the knob is full accessible. And the other buttons can be pressed through the leather and the case has little markings where they are.

[Single Channel] For the price this dac/amp is a bargain. I use it to drive my Sony MDR Z1R headphone and my Sennheiser IE 900 IEM. Wired connection sounds better than the bluetooth connection but all the features this product offers makes this a must have. Just buy it you will be happy. This is audiophile bargain

[2 Hours] My first headphone amp purchase; purchased for use with Grado 225i paired with Bluetooth + iPhone. The 225i doesn't require much power to being with, but even I, not being an especially adroit at HiFi tech, easily discerned enhanced performance with the FiiO. Ordering online with B&H was easy and delivery was on time. Solid experience!

[5.1] This is the first DAC I have ever owned and used. I regularly pair it up with my Sennheiser 560s and Sony XM5s and there is definitely a huge difference with and without it. The Q3s give off a clearer sound. I notice a lot when it comes to songs with a lot of bass where previously they sounded a bit muddy but with the Q3 there was a texture to it.
My only complaint I have is the USBC cable being one direction. It is a little bit of a nitpick but I always plug in to charge it into my computer and I spend the next 10 minutes trying to figure out why it isn’t working only to realise I plugged the cable in the wrong way. Honestly, I just found a short usbc cable on best buy and use that instead.
Overall, it’s a great product. The price in my opinion is worth it because there really is a big difference.

[Single Channel] I paired this exceptionally tiny amp with the Shure SE215 in-ear-monitors.

It sounds almost as good as my ~$2k desktop headphone amp setup.

But I cant fit my desktop amp and headphones into my motorcycle helmet. These I can. What else is there to say?

[Up to 32-Bit] Supports my wired cans on my next phone. Sometimes the software pairing fails and it almost seems that the direction of the usb plug matters (how can this be). But software is nice and sounds great.

[2 Hours] I bought it to accentuate the sound of my car speakers when I play music through my phone. You can really feel the impact on high gain, and it's good for drowning out road noise but low gain is where it's at in terms of clarity.

[USB-C ] I find myself getting lost in music a lot more with this device, it trutly is fantastic. The battery life is good if you use lower power headphones or keep the volume moderate. if you use really hungry headphones or iems, expect around 3-4 hours of battery life. i use CCA CA24 iem earphones. Just to note, if you equalize your headphones through the app and use this device wired, you have to switch U-AUDIO to 1.0 mode otherwise it will not EQ. This device is stiil great and i use it daily.
