Instantly and easily upgrade your wireless audio system with the SR5117 Condenser Vocal Wireless Capsule from Earthworks, a robust replacement mic capsule for Sennheiser wireless systems. With its incredibly tight and consistent supercardioid pickup pattern, the SR5117 effectively rejects feedback noise, off-axis noises, and helps you keep a great tone and volume level, even when vocalists pull away.

The list of benefits provided by the SR5117 for your wireless systems is long—you get a high SPL handling for avoiding clipping with even the most powerful vocalists, enhanced wind, plosive, sibilance, and handling noise protections, and a very high gain level before feedback. The rich, clear lows, smooth, vibrant mids, and open, airy highs will enhance your audio quality and provide natural-sounding vocals for any live or televised performance as well as worship applications. Designed to work with modern Sennheiser wireless systems, this capsule is compatible with the EW-D, Evolution G4, 2000, Digital 6000, and Digital 9000 series systems. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this pack of Panasonic eneloop pro AA Rechargeable NiMH Batteries (1.2V, 2550mAh, 16-Pack) is compatible with the mics?

A: The Sennheiser SKM 500 G4 Wireless Handheld Transmitter is compatible with Panasonic Eneloop Pro AA Rechargeable batteries.

Q: 2. Can this support a Shure MV7 microphone with room to maneuver up and down and allow room for the cord off back?

A: Yes, the Marantz Professional Sound Shield Vocal Reflection Filter support the MV7 microphone, however, you will have to slide the microphone attachment bar all the way to the front, there will be some room for adjustment up or down. The cord will go under the filter.

Q: 3. What are the max and min speeds possible with the Capsule Pro?

A: The Miops Capsule PRO Electronic Pan Head has a maximum speed of 360 degrees in 46 Seconds. There is no minimum speed for this device.

Q: 4. The Audio Bandwidth is listed twice. In one place it states 40 Hz to 20 KHz, while in the other it states 70 Hz to 20 KHz. Which one is right?

A: There are separate specs for the receiver and mic/transmitter. The receiver's range is 40 Hz to 20 kHz and the mic/transmitter's range is 70 Hz to 20 kHz.

Q: 5. who can calibrate the earthwork M30bx microphone yearly in Singapore?

A: Please contact Earthworks directly for a reference to a certified technician or Earthworks distributor locally:DISTRIBUTOR:Acoustics & Engineering11 Changi North Street 1#02-01, Aerospace Training Center Changi North Industrial EstateSingapore 498823Tel: +65 62140146 / 7Fax: +65 62141606Email: sales@a href= http://ane.com.sg target= _blank ane.com.sg/aWebsite: a href= http://www.ane.com.sg/main.html target= _blank http://www.ane.com.sg/main.html/a

Q: 6. Can I attach neck rotating microphone holder with screw mechanism? What is the screw size?

A: The Marantz Professional Sound Shield Vocal Reflection Filter features a common 5/8"-27 mounting thread for attaching microphone mounts but can be easily adapted to other common thread sizes with third party thread adapter products if needed. The compatibility of a "rotating microphone holder" would likely depend on the size and form factor of the holder in its rotating positions on the Reflection Filter.

Q: 7. How many mic systems can be running on the same Band or frequency? I have 2 A band sets now and need to add two more mics.

A: The AKG Perception Wireless system offers 8 selectable carrier frequencies. In theory this means that 8 systems should be able to function simultaneously in each available frequency band. This would be under perfect conditions with no sources of interference. In order for you to have a more reliable setup we do not recommend using more than 4 systems or so in the same band which allows the additional channel selections to be used in case of interference or dropouts.

Q: 8. What kind of cable would I need if I were using in concert with a Canon R5?

A: The Miops Capsule PRO Electronic Pan Head uses a 2.5mm cable. So it can use either one of these, https://bhpho.to/3tICuL1 or https://bhpho.to/3PEhgv0 .

Q: 9. Is this price for one or two windscreens?

A: Price is for one when I bought it.The Auray version is 3 for $8 and they work almost as welltt

Q: 10. Does this system have phantom power protection? For example, if you accidentally turn on phantom power on the mixer to use a condenser mic, will it damage the system?

A: The receiver in the Sennheiser EW 100 G4-945-S Wireless Handheld Microphone System with MMD 945 Capsule does not make any specific indication regarding phantom power precautions. Clearly you do not want to have phantom power engaged on the input it is connected to, but it will likely not damage the receiver either.

[Supercardioid] I am using this for speech in HAM radio transmissions. My shack' is hard-surfaced and I got reports about a tin-can sound. I went with the e845 because of the 'popular price' and supercardioid polar pattern useful to reduce this effect. It worked! Of course mic-to-mouth positioning becomes more important. The net result for me is that I am getting many favorable 'signal reports' from HAMs I speak with. Several have asked about the mic and have ordered one for themselves. BTW, this replaced a Shure SM7B, and the e845 has worked better for my application. Less EQ is needed to get a balanced sound for my voice (actually, no EQ at all is working). Specifically the e845 is plugged into a Kenwood TS-590SG HF transceiver. Very happy with the e845.

[Supercardioid] This microphone and its sibling are excellent quality in the pricing sweet spot. Events are better with good acoustics which begin with a good mic.

[Black] I recently converted my Shure SM58 wireless mic into a Beta 87A by purchasing this new cartridge. It makes the mic a bit lighter and a bit shorter, but the purpose of switching it out was to reduce feedback, and so far that it has done!!!Glad to have made this purchase.Thanks!!... This was the lowest price I could find on the internet, as well.

[Supercardioid] The SR117 was marketed on its strength at rejecting plosives. ...It's not great at it, at best it's as good as a standard stage dynamic. SO there's no special sauce. However, you might be able to mitigate with aggressive use of a low cut. However, beyond that, I really like this mic because it is very much a blank canvas, it can take EQ extremely well and can give you some of that studio mic tone in a handheld.

[1.25"-28 Male ] For several years I've been pretty outspoken about preferring (any) Sennheiser handheld (835/45, 9, MD etc).. over their Shure counterparts. I've got a deep voice, but there's a significant amount of fry and rasp that comes through. (I do voice over/podcasting/comedy.. not a singer.. just to clarify).

But going back to what I was saying, the classic SM58 for example, its a good and solid mic, but for my voice.. it turns into a tug-of-war trying to tone down some of the really harsh tones that no one wants to hear for voice over, podcasting etc..

So I was pretty skeptical of the SR117.. I knew there was a lot of hype about it's flat response being extremely easy to EQ, but I've never owned a handheld condenser.

Now.. I'm never looking back. No background noise cleanup. It picks up my voice and only my voice even in a room with quite a bit of ambient sound, but it even seems to TAME some of that same uncomfortable grit/rasp/fry I was previously talking about. I don't know if it's because there's finally balance between the lows in my voice with that fry, or if this mic is just great at cutting back on sibilance.

But in either case, the amount of EQ needed to get this thing to the same ear-friendly experience as my go-to Sennheiser 945 was mind blowing effortless. I genuinely cannot believe Earthworks considers this to be a budget option, and if you're needing something for live or studio, I'll gladly throw my vote in for the hype of this microphone.

I haven't used it in a live setting, but when I turn on all of the fans, lights, computers etc in my studio.. the ambient room levels are extremely high, and if it's rejecting ALL of them with ease, I can only imagine it would handle the same feedback rejection in a live setting where the vocalist doesn't need anywhere near the amount of gain I use for just talking.
