Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What audio pack would be needed to use this headset on Zoom calls or Skype?

A: The HS2 headset can be connected to any wireless microphone transmitter. The mic has a hardwired 3.5mm connector but can be used with a variety of adapters for compatibility with transmitters that require different types of connectors. The mic can also be used with a USB audio interface for direct connection to a computer. For a wired connection to your computer, you can use the Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (B&H # ROVXLRP) and Polsen XLR-USB-48 XLR to USB Audio Interface (B&H # POXLRUSB48) which is very easy to use. It's compatible with both Mac and Windows, does not require any drivers to use, and the USB cable is included with the interface. The same interface can be to connect the output from a wireless receiver. Please feel free to contact us by phone or through live chat for further assistance and we can help you to select the best options for your application.

Q: 2. Can I use this headset with shure ULXD and AD Series??, I need some Adapter or change the pinout of the connector??

A: We unfortunately do not have any adapters available that will convert the locking 3.5mm TRS male connector on the Rode HS2 Lightweight Headset Microphone to a TA4 4-pin mini XLR female connector for compatibility with Shure wireless transmitters. However, we do have other headsets that are compatible with Shure wireless transmitters such as the Shure WBH54T Beta 54 Headworn Vocal Microphone - Tan (B&H # SHWBH54T), the Shure DH5 DuraPlex Omnidirectional Headset Microphone - Tan (B&H # SHDH5TOMTQG), the Galaxy Audio HSM8 Dual-Ear Headset Mic with 4 Cables - Beige (B&H # GAHS8OBG4MX), the Point Source Audio Series8 Omnidirectional Waterproof Headset Microphone with TA4F Connector for Shure, Line 6, JTS, Trantec, Carvin Wireless Transmitters - Beige (B&H # POCO8WDXSHBE), or the MIPRO MU-53HNSX Dual-Ear Cardioid Headset Microphone for Wireless Transmitters - Beige (B&H # MIMU53HNSX).

Q: 3. Would the M3 MacBook Pro accept this as a microphone, or do I need to use an interface with it?

A: The RODE HS2 Lightweight Headset Microphone is wired with a TRS locking 1/8" (3.5mm) connector, primarily for use with a compatible wireless transmitter. In order to connect the mic to the MacBook Pro, you would need to use the RODE VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (B&H # ROVXLRP) and connect the mic to an XLR input on a USB audio interface that can supply phantom power. The adapter will convert the phantom power to the proper amount of voltage to power the mic. If you want to use a microphone that can connect directly to the MacBook Pro without the need for any other hardware, I would recommend the RODE SmartLav+ Lavalier Condenser Microphone for Smartphones with TRRS Connections (B&H # ROSMARTLAVP) together with a headset mount such as the RODE LAVHS-MED Headset Mount for Lavalier Microphones - Medium (B&H # ROLAVHSMED).

Q: 4. will this work with with a blue yeti mic

A: Yes, this is compatible with the Blue Yeti microphone.

Q: 5. can you use a few of these without interference from one to another, do they switch channels if there is noise ??

A: You can use up to two systems simultaneously, and they do have automatic channel hopping to find the clearest available channel.

Q: 6. Is the HS2 compatible with the soon to be released AI-Micro?

A: Yes, the Rode HS2 Headset Microphone is compatible for use with the new Rode AI-Micro 2x2 USB Type-C Audio Interface.

Q: 7. Can this be plugged directly into the 3.5mm microphone jack on the a PC? or does it necessary to plug it into an amplifier?

A: To use the RODE HS2 Lightweight Headset Microphone with a computer, a USB audio interface with a microphone input, such as the RODE AI-Micro USB-C Audio Interface (B&H # ROAIMICRO), should be used.

Q: 8. Can I use the Rode HS2 with a Sony UWP D21 Wireless Bodypack Transmitter?

A: No, the RODE HS2 Lightweight Headset Microphone is not compatible for use with the Sony UTX-B40 Wireless Bodypack Transmitter for the Sony UWP-D21 Lavalier Microphone System. The internal wiring on the HS2 is different than the wiring used for Sony transmitters. The HS2 is compatible for use with Sennheiser wireless transmitters, but not with Sony transmitters. As a compatible option, you can use the Sony ECM-322BMP Professional Headworn Microphone (B&H # SOECM322BMP), the Countryman Isomax Omnidirectional Headset Microphone for Sony Wireless Transmitters - 1/8" (3.5mm) Locking-Mini Connector, Beige - (B&H # COMHOW5LSN), the Countryman H6 Omnidirectional Headset with Detachable Cable and 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sony Wireless Transmitters - W7 Band, Beige (B&H # COH6OW7LSN), or the Voice Technologies VT DUPLEX Omni Headset Microphone with 3.5mm TRS Locking Connector for Sony Transmitters - S/M, Beige (B&H # VOVT0594) or L/XL, Beige (B&H # VOVT0588).

Q: 9. Is this 120 volts ac?

A: The Spieltek SRL Gaming Recliner does support 120V AC.

Q: 10. Can the Rode Hs2 be used as the Rode Wireless Go?

A: Hello Wemerson. The Rode HS2 now has a locking nut that works for the RodeLink systems, however the Wireless Go doesn't have the locking connection. To use the HS2 with the Wireless Go, simply remove the locking nut and store it for later.

[Closed-Back] These are, by far, the best headphones I have ever used. I have heard things that I've never heard before in music I've been listening to for 40 years! They are very comfortable and solidly made as well.

[25 Ohms] Just as good as Neumann mic. The app is just the cherry on top.

[Omnidirectional] Accurate, balanced sound across the whole spectrum. Plenty of meat on the low end, and large open light and airy sound stage on the high end. Lightweight and comfortable. More musical than my AKG 240 (which are a tad clinical and dry) - the HiX15 is more punchy down low and more crisp, articulate up high. Plenty, but not too much bass. NOT scooped or weak in the midrange, where all the real action is. Very pleased - better overall balance than ATH-M50x, more musical and articulate then ATH-M40, way more interesting than AKG-240, much less sibilant than BeherDynamic and ATH-AD700X (which hurt my ears they are so bright and screechy) wider sound stage than Shure offerings, and just a nice, overall pleasant result - so comfortable I can wear them for extended periods. Works for me. JR

[1.795 lb] My reference for years has been the Sennheiser HD650, and I've been an open-back guy ever since I first heard them. But the AA Hi-X55 is better in nearly every way, especially in comfort and detail. It may lack just a bit of that airiness that is the signature of open-back 'phones, but in staging and definition it's a significant step up. I can't speak to durability--only a week in--but so far I am thrilled. Highly recommended.

[133 dB SPL/V ] These allow the sparkle, depth and dimension to come through. Any closed back over-ear will get a tad warm a couple hours in, but these are ultra light and easy to just leave in the amp and grab. Put them down for 10 minutes. Put them back on.

The value is there, but these are not 'budget' headphones. I've left my AKGs on the shelf for these - at least for day-to-day work-from-home use. Soft over-ear padding. No discomfort at all. Ever.

Easy to wear, easy to buy, easy, fun and engaging listen.

Mash the 'buy' button.

[Yes] These are the most outstanding headphones I've ever used. Phenomenal sound (paired with a Dragonfly Red). robust construction, incredibly comfortable. Strongly recommend if you're in the market for a midrange headphone.

[133 dB SPL/V ] I upgraded to these from a cheap pair of headphone. What a difference. Now it seems like I am there whatever music I am listening to. Never expected such a vast difference. And comfortable too.

[133 dB SPL/V ] Great sounding! Quite clean and modern sounding without any muddiness like some other LDC's. Similar sound to DPA microphones actually! I'd it's about as good as it gets for a LDC microphone.
