Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How well does this tablet work on a dual monitor setup running different apps on each monitor?

A: The drivers for this tablet are designed to adjust the drawing area to the aspect ratio of a single monitor. It would be possible to use the tablet as a simple input device without the drivers, which would enable it to work with multiple monitors, but accuracy would be reduced and you would not see its full potential.

Q: 2. Hi, I am trying to figure out whether Medium or Small would be the best option for my 21.5 monitor. Any experience with the same monitor size, I would like to make it as comfortable as possible to work in Photoshop and Lightroom? Thanks!

A: Marko,Assuming cost isn't a major consideration, I would opt for the larger size. Another factor, which I don't think applies here is whether you intend to travel with your tablet. Travel might mean a smaller tablet. As for similar size monitor, I can't comment, since I have a 27 monitor. I'm not sure if monitor size would be an issue.Richard

Q: 3. Does Medium Bundle (Black) come with 2nd Generation 3-Button Pen like in Nebula White? Photos showing the old Pen in Black

Q: 4. I've read a number of negative reviews on Amazon that this tablet developed flaws within months of use, especially around faulty usb connection and the surface finish becoming degraded. Please can anyone who has been using this tablet on a regular basis for a decent time period - say a year or more let me know if they have experienced these or any other wear or reliability issues? Thanks.

A: I don't use mine 8 hours a day but I do use it many times every week. I've had mine over a year and had no problems with it other than nibs wearing down, but I expected that. I use mine with Photoshop.

Q: 8. What is the difference between basic Intuos Photo Pen and Touch vs this, I planning to use it for edit photos in Ps & Lr. Actually I have a basic Intous. Worth spending a little more?. Could you help me to decide. Thanks.

A: The difference is the level of pressure sensitivity. The Intuos Pro has 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity. The Photo Pen and Touch only has 1024.

[2] I received this tablet for a Christmas gift so I am still learning how to use it. I was very impressed by the solid feel of the tablet and the extra items that came with it. It came with a very nice case and two pens. There is a choice of connection: wifi or direct hook up and both work flawlessly. Installation on my windows computer was very easy. I am looking forward to using it for my Photoshop work.

[Rubber] I have been using another leading brand of pen tablets for upward of 8 years. I have always had to use it wired because I could never get the wireless dongle to stay connected. Not to mentioned the constant driver issues. I had been reading a lot about these tablets, but hesitated because I already had a small and a medium of the other brand. However, I finally took the plunge and I couldn't be happier. The setup was a breeze and I have not lost wireless connectivity once since I hooked it up a couple of weeks ago. Some people mentioned that they didn't like the feel of the larger pen, but personally, I like it better. It has a smoother feel in the hand. The surface of the tablet feels a bit smoother, (less drag), as well. I tried the felt tips that come with it, but prefer the black plastic ones myself. I don't use the quick keys to their fullest capability and I probably wouldn't have purchased them if there was a medium tablet in white, without them. But, with that said, I have found myself using them on occasion. So, at some point I may find myself using them more. In the two weeks that I have had this tablet, (and I use it everyday), I have experienced zero problems. I am truly enjoying using it!! There is one con to the product, it doesn't have finger touch capabilities, (at least not what I have discovered), but I overcame that habit quickly with my trackpad. So, if you are in the market for a new pen tablet, or a first time buyer, I would without hesitation recommend this tablet!!

[0.25 lb] I'm a graphic designer with decades of drawing tablet experience. The best tablets have been Wacom for build quality, feel, and driver reliability. This tablet replaces my Wacom Intuos Pro Touch tablet. The build quality of the Xencelabs tablet is on par with the Wacom. The bundled stylii and controller provide excellent versatility and much more performance value than Wacom. The Xencelabs driver adds a feature I've asked of Wacom for many years - you can save custom settings and even share them. There's no way to do that via the Wacom driver. I do think there's some room for improvement on the Xencelabs driver. I'd like better click and double-click sensitivity and better mouse mode handling of a dual screen desktop where one screen is landscape and the other is portrait. I haven't had time yet to delve into customizing the Quick Keys.

[8192] This tablet is just what I was looking for. Had great reviews and does just what I need. Had a little trouble when I first set it up but their support walked me through my issues and got me up and running. It wasn't a problem with their software or hardware. They helped me find it and straighten it all out.

[8192] No glare, clean design, fast performing, and ultra quiet (really quiet). How's that for starters? I wasn't looking to replace my Cintiq Pro 27, but I just bought the XenceLabs pen display 16 for mobile creative use after watching some Youtube reviews. I was so impressed that I looked at my desktop setup and realized, I need me another XenceLabs! So I bought the pen display 24 AND its stand.

You may think the price is a little steep, but you won't be sorry. The driver software works flawlessly, the responsiveness of the pen is great, no parallax, and the XenceLabs engineers spent some effort listening to customers before designing the display. I couldn't be happier.

Oh, and B&H rushed it out. Nobody ships faster than B&H.

[0.25 lb] This is the one to beat Wacom. Don't bother with other third party tablets as they are typically not worth it vs a Wacom (poor design, and horrible, horrible drivers) But the Xencelabs? None of those issues. Works just as well as all my Wacoms from the past 20 years. The software is easy to use (like it more than Wacoms) the dual pens are a treat. I HIGHLY recommend this tablet.

[0.25 lb] So compact and what really makes it a great tablet is that it has a carrying case. Super responsive. To every movement I make. It works great in Capture One and innPhotoshop. Finally the overall size of the tablet makes it tge perfect tablet.
