A: The bottom of the case is opened pretty much throughout, so I can't see why it would not fit. The thickness too is not huge so it should hug around the edges of the cam where the battery grip doesn't touch. I would definitely give it a go.

A: I think if fits tight, and works well, functionality is pretty seamless, even though you are pushing some buttons through the rubber.

A: I own both 7D and 7DM2. They are NOT interchangeable.

[0.36 lb] Had to get used to the cover in the beginning. Now it is on my camera for several months and I really like it. It protects against small bumps. Gives me more comfort putting it in my bag, together with my keys. Too bad it is only available in black 5
