Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this hold slides with metal and or plastic sleeve mounts ?

A: As long as the outside dimensions of the slides are not larger than 2 inches by 2 inches, the Logan box will accommodate cardboard, plastic or metal mounts. I use Logan boxes to store all three of these slide types.

Q: 2. would this item be acceptable to view photo negatives?

A: I have never used it for the purpose of viewing negatives but my assumption is that it would work but I'm not sure that it would be the best solution. Negatives tend to curl and this item has no capability to hold the negative flat. It may prove cumbersome at best. Great for slides though.

Q: 3. Can I use a 60W replacement LED bulb rated at 800 lumens with a DSLR camera and get good results to digitize 35mm slides?

A: Concerning the Logan slide sorter, absolutely you can use a 60W-rated LED bulb instead of an incandescent bulb. In fact that's the first thing I did with mine and it works beautifully. Generates much less heat, too. With LED, you have (at least) two flavors , daylight and white light. I use daylight.

Q: 4. Is the center column removable?

A: Yes.

Q: 5. Where are these made?

A: Logan Electric Slide File #200 Holds 750 2 x 2" Slides manufacture facilities are in China.

Q: 6. does this come with the lamp?

A: chord and socket but no bulb

Q: 7. How does this attach to camera, do I have to get a mounting plate also?

A: Your camera will attach via the 1/4-20 mounting thread on the shoulder mount, no adapter or mounting plate needed.

Q: 8. How much to ship to Canada Burnaby BC V5C 3E1?How much to ship to PO Box Point Roberts Washington 90480?

A: You may calculate your actual shipping options/order totals by adding the items you want to a shopping cart. It will then list the shipping options, descriptions, ETA's and fees to your location.

Q: 9. what type of lighting to review slides does this call for?

A: I use Sylvania CFL 23 Watt,( 100 watt replacement,)1640 lumens soft white bulb. Intentionally bright (especially in the center) for making digital copies of slides with close up focus setting of a digital camera. Reproduction of the color slide colors and digital photo quality is excellent with the soft white bulb. The slide sorter is of excellent quality and convienience for reviewing slides or copying them with a digital camera.

Q: 10. How many dividers are included?

A: 12 dividers are included

[Standard] The Vpc1 is the best midi controller on the market. As per my research from other reviews on various piano sites, the included foot pedal really is garbage. Out of the box, it has a flutter which is visible in my daw and is audible. Shame on Kawai for not changing this pedal for all the years they have been selling the Vpc1. Many reviewers went through the process of returning the foot pedal and getting a new one only to find after a couple of weeks the noise and flutter was back. Mine is already on the closet shelf and my Roland rp 3 pedal arrives tomorrow along with a purchase of a Midi Expression iO to compliment the new pedal with the Vpc1. So if you buy the Vpc1, just know you may need to spend another $300 for the perfect setup.

[Standard] The Kawai VPC1 has completely realistic piano action, with full length keys, Graded hammer weighting + counterweights
triple-sensor key detection, let-off simulation (allowing for the keys to be rapidly re-pressed before the key returns to fully up). The triple sensors add to accurate dynamic control while using virtual pianos such as Pianoteq. The stand included in this package is solid, and very well built with excellent fit and finish. Highly recommended!

[Standard] I don't usually write reviews but wanted to add one here about this specific bundle. Before ordering, I was skeptical of the stand that comes with it. With something like the VPC1 you don't want a flimsy stand. But looking at the pictures, it seemed to be identical to the K&M Omega, which is $200 and one of the most highly regarded keyboard stands on the market. I took a chance and placed the order. Sure enough, on the shipping notice I could tell the manufacturer was K&M. Now that it's sitting peacefully in my house, I can verify that it is indeed the K&M Omega. So yeah, for $60 more than the standalone VPC1, you get a $200 stand that is absolutely top-notch. As for the bench and the pedals ... BH should just chuck the pedals from the bundle because the Kawai comes with pedals. The bench is fine. Basic, but fine. Really, this is just one of the better values I've come across and I'm still kind of blown away. Thanks, BH. Oh, and while I'm at it, I might as well comment on the VPC1 itself. I bought it blind because I couldn't find one in a store to sample. I haven't played too many high-end digital pianos, but I can tell you, in the little bit I've played it today, this keyboard is lights-out phenomenal. I've never played a better digital keyboard. Bummer now is it's time invest in some better virtual pianos, like the Ravenscroft.

[Attracktive] This is a top of the line keyboard. Most every review you read or hear tells you it feels and acts just like an acoustic piano. Well that is totally true. I'm using this in my Studio for the purpose of rehearsal and recording. I connected it to a Mac laptop. Found out after the VPC-1 arrived that to get quality audio you need a USB to audio converter. So I got a Focusrite unit that does a fantastic job. You plug the USB out of your laptop (or computer) into the converter and you get stereo audio that you can send to a mixer of amp.

[Yes] Pianoteq 5 Standard software is outstanding and gives any musician a lot of flexibility in shaping piano sounds to your liking. B&H sold it for a great price too!

[Download] Very convincing feel. Heavy, but to my mind that is a good trade off considering how much like a real piano this plays.
