A: Hi, I bought this D-ring about six months ago thinking I would be able to switch between plates and move my camera from my tripod to my gimbal quickly. Unfortunately the head on this D-ring was to thick and wouldn't give me enough clearance between the plate and the tripod head. This was just my experience with this product. Maybe you'll have better luck. I was also using the 504 long.

A: Approx 16 mm including the handle. The screw head without the handle is approx. 11 mm.

A: The length of the threaded portion of the Oben 1/4"-20 Screw with D-Ring for RP Plates is 7.1mm, whereas the length of the unthreaded portion is 4.3mm.

A: It broke on me the very first time I picked it up by the strap. The roll pins the hasp pivots on are not peened in properly, and a few swings of the hasp backs the pin out and it detaches.

A: This screw is compatible only with Oben RP quick release plates, Induro PH and PU series plates or Manfrotto 200PL plates. Since the Davis and Sanford Traverse TR-533-228 uses a proprietary quick release, it will not be compatible.

A: No, that will not work with most Arca-Swiss style plates. Most Arca plates are too thin. It can work with, any of the Oben RP quick-release plates except the RP5. It can also be used with any of the Induro PH and PU series plates or Manfrotto 200PL plates
