Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there enough room in the duo case to fit two snap bags? I'd like to keep everything together in one case.

A: No, the case is not large enough to hold the two lights and two soft boxes.

Q: 2. Do these panels fit in a 1500 series Pelican case?

A: NO, they measure out to be with framing and everything 19 by 16 that's including the side screws and yok. On their website they measure it to be size 17.7 x 16.3 x 5.3, plus you need room to put foam between the case and light itself.

Q: 3. I asked the question about the light not turning on. THank you for your responses, not helpful yet. When I turn on the light, there's a surging sound when i stand close to it. Like it's struggling to power up. Any thoughts?

A: I would recommend contacting the manufacturer directly for trouble shooting. Please see the contact information below. Telephone: (800) 541-1667 E-mail: servicesupport@vitecgroup.com

Q: 4. What is the CRI rating of these lights?

A: According to the MFR the CRI is 80.

Q: 5. Does it run dimming at 100% on batterry? It is 24vdc its means that it take too much power for regular 12vdc batterry ( 95 mwh). I have one 6x and it shutdown if i dim it more than 50%

A: On our 95Wh we only use these up to 50% or so. We use a bigger 160wh if we need to run on battery at full strength.

Q: 6. Could I use these lights to make the light even at the green screen? if not which ones would you recommend for a good price. Thank you

A: yes, you can use the IB508-v2 lights to light the green screen. You might try more than three depending on the length of the green screen.

Q: 7. I've been using the light for Zoom meeting and the the light has burned out. Is there replacement bulbs for this light?

A: you have to contact the manufacture for service

Q: 8. What are L-type batteries?

A: They are batteries commonly used with Sony video cameras, field decks, etc...You can find a picture if you search for items on web or B&H website.

Q: 9. what is the actual wattage of one of these lights?

A: If you want to know how much power they CONSUME, it's 15W per fixture. If you want to know how much LIGHT OUTPUT they generate, it's 1776 lux at 3 feet (3200 K), and 1227 lux at 3 feet (5600 K). Wattage does not measure light output, but rather power consumption.

Q: 10. Can the SmallRig VB155 Mini V-Mount Battery (155Wh) be used with these lights?

A: Yes, the SmallRig VB155 Mini V-Mount Battery (155Wh) are compatible with the Litepanels Astra 6X Traveler Bi-Color Duo 2-Light Kit with V-Mount Battery Plates.

[Proprietary] Well I left a review back in 2017 after I bought it. Im still quite happy with the Fixture. I recently tested the CRI using my Sekonic C-700, the results hovered around 94.0 to 95.0 depending on temperature. I would say Litepanels general claim of a High CRI rings true but the output is no where near a 575w HMI. There are cheaper lights on the market now like the Aputure Storm 300d II that do output the equivalent of the 575w HMI, however I have not tested the CRI as of yet.

[Proprietary] I couldn't beleive these things could put out 2KW from an LED. But, they do. I love them!

[2700 to 6500K] I cannot believe that a light of this quality is so cheap! Field tested today and it is extraordinary. Very well built. On par with a 575 HMI in daylight mode. Beautiful dimmable key in tungsten. Highly recommended .

[Proprietary] I bought this Sola 4+ fresnel for use as a back light in a typical 3 point lighting scenario. It fits the bill quite well I think. I considered the ARRI L5 for this because it is bi-color, but my budget didn't quite allow for it, so the Sola 4+ was the next best option. The Sola 4+ is light enough to place on a boom without excessive counterweights and allows for easy rigging. The fixture is mostly plastic which gives it a bit of a cheap feel however. The barn doors have plastic hinges but the doors are aluminum. Considering the plastic makes it light weight, which is a huge bonus if you are travelling with this fixture, I think it is a reasonable trade off. The focus range allows fine tuning and quite a narrow spot. Fan is quite enough that most audio situations would not pick it up. The fixture has a small form factor but it packs a pretty good punch for its size. Because it is only daylight balanced, I purchased the 5 piece CTO pack which includes a opal frost diffusion. Not sure I will use the DMX function but it's nice to know it's there incase I do. Overall, I think this light is a pretty good value but it needs to be handled and packed carefully to avoid possible damage. I gave the Sola 4+ five stars because it met my expectations based on the advertising and published specs. Now Litepanels needs to make a bi-color version of this fresnel to truly perfect it!

[1x Barndoors] I have a many LED's that I use every week. Roto's and others. This light gives my the punch I need for my sets, interviews, etc. The throw is still not what an incandescent will give you but for an LED it is very good and better than most. IT's bright, fully adjustable and heavy duty.

[1x Barndoors] This is a great LED Light to use as well as operate! I am a professional photographer & I need more accurate caption with the energy-saving and efficiency for my light. And this is that what i desired! The color accuracy, color temperature is exceptional than other light. No weird color tints and the temp is always accurate and does not dip! Really happy to get this Dracast Fresnel 2000 Bi-Color LED Light!

[Fresnel] I just sold my Joker 800 HMI and bought the Fresnel 2000. It is a fantastic broad source light with its large 7 fresnel lens that packs a big punch. The bi-color accuracy and adjustment is the icing on the cake.
