A: Both of these models will be compatible with the DS1522+. This enclosure can accept most 7200 rpm 3.5" SATA III hard drives, the Seagate IronWolf Pro will be compatible.

A: You could add larger drives to the Synology DiskStation DS1821+ 8-Bay NAS Enclosure to expand its capacity overtime, however, unless you are using the NAS in a JBOD format, it is not advised to use drives of varying sizes, as you will not be able to fully utilize the capacity of the larger drives and it may lead to complications.
