This set of three Neewer 22mm Casters for Light Stand, 3", Set of 3from Neewer 22mm Casters for Light Stand, 3", Set of 3makes it easy to roll a heavy stand on the ground and change its direction at any time. The 3" rubber wheels have a crossed, nonslip pattern to prevent them from sliding and protect the floor from scratches. Each caster has a foot-operated brake that locks to stop the stand from moving and releases for free movement. The metal mounting collar fits round legs with a diameter of 0.9" (22mm), and it locks securely using a large, ergonomic knob.

A: Yes the Manfrotto 018 Casters will fit the Manfrotto 1004BAC stands.

Q: 4. How is this any better than a C-stand with a 20" riser? The C-stand is cheaper, more versatile (comes with an arm). I'd like to know why this would be better specifically for monitoring.

A: The following stand has a wider foot print and can support more weight.

Q: 5. What is the weight of the stand with out the wheels?

A: According to the manufacturer its 17 lbs.

Q: 6. Can the centre column be released and rest on the ground, making the stand go even lower than 29 inches?

A: 29" is the minimum height achievable, this is the measurement once the bottom tube is resting on the ground.

Q: 7. Can just the wheels be replaced? Somebody dragged mine locked and there’s a flat spot now.

A: The wheel alone can be replaced as the axle is bolted and not riveted, it is a 3" Tente wheel, 75x25. We sell the replacement wheel along with the caster for $34, part number 6018.

Q: 8. Is there a recommended case for this?

A: Matthews Studio does not produce a shoulder bag specifically for this stand. The folded length of the stand is 31" and the width is 12". But the Lightware C6140 Medium Stand Sack, BH #LIC6140. https://bhpho.to/2NOJx3N should work.

Q: 9. Do you sale it separated. Top adapter and legs?

A: The unit I own is all sold as one piece. The 5/8's pin is an integral of the stand. You might be able to obtain individual parts from Matthews through B&H.

[Yes] I didn't realize how heavy and robust this boom stand was until it arrived, but it is no joke. Definitely not going to fall over. Rolls easily and it's heavy but it is capable of folding back up if you wanted to store it. 5

[Yes] This Neewer C-stand is very sturdy even extended to its maximum height and the casters allow the stand to easily and smoothly roll from one location to another. It also has locking wheels to prevent any movement. I highly recommend. 5

[Yes] These things are solid as a rock. They roll straight and effortlessly. I have moved from mostly flash to led lighting so these stay mounted. If they have a downside it would be that they don’t easily fold up so they do take up a bit of real estate in my studio. 5

[Yes] The materials are stout and provide great stability. I can get out of the way of my lights with this set-up and fan get closer to subjects making the light much more pleasing. Wish I had purchased it years ago. 5

[Yes] They are the best casters for light stands and worth the money. I have some that are over 25 years old and work as well as the day I got them. When you roll the stand or turn it on a dime, it's smooth. Unlike lower cost casters I have used. They where a waste of my money! 5
