The 13 x 19" Hahnemuhle Photo Satin Paper 13x19 25 Sheetsfrom Hahnemuhle Photo Satin Paper 13x19 25 Sheetsis a sustainable alternative to PE-based (polyethene) inkjet photo papers. This bio inkjet coating is free of plastic composites/film and 100% recyclable via the wastepaper cycle. Q: 1. This might be a challenge! I use Capture One Pro with Canon's Pixma Pro-100. the Profiles are loaded in C1. When using LU-101, it gives me 2 profiles: "3 photo paper pro luster" and "1/2 photo paper pro luster". What the heck is the difference? The "3" versus the "1/2" has me flummoxed.

A: The difference is related to the quality that you selected in the driver. Lower numbers are higher quality. The idea is to match the quality you selected in the drive dialog with the appropriate profile.

Q: 2. does anyone report results using this paper with p800 ?

A: No problems using it on the P400.

Q: 3. Can I print with an Epson R1900?

A: No idea sorry.

Q: 4. Has anyone compared this to the Epson Metallic Glossy paper. If so, do you have a preference between the two (glossy vs. luster) papers for B&W and for color prints?

A: Yes. I prefer the glossy for metallic. The luster subdues the metallic. I wouldn't metallic B&W's with metallic. But color I prefer glossy metallic and lustre regular.

Q: 5. Is this paper safe for a color laser printer?

A: Yes.

Q: 6. Is this paper considered archival suitable for selling print?

A: While I don't have the direct answer to the question, according to the Canon website It's great for portrait and wedding and fine art photography prints. if you do a search on Canon photo paper specifications , you will eventually find the Canon photo paper site. I am personally very please with the quality of the prints produced on this paper with my Canon Pro-100 printer.

Q: 7. Does this paper is good for pigment ink, the majority of this paper that I have come a crosse are for dye ink.

A: The Canon Photo Paper Pro Luster is both pigment and dye ink compatible.

Q: 8. which paper profile would i use for a photo r1900 epson printer?

A: I would use the profile that Epson and or the paper manufacture rec amends.

Q: 9. Are the Epson Metallic papers (glossy as well as pearl) archival?

A: Epson Metallic Photo Paper Glossy and Epson Metallic Photo Paper Luster are not strictly archival.

Q: 10. I have a Canon Pixma Pro-100 and I have the canon 8.5x11 Luster paper for it. However I can't find the correct size for that kind of paper when I am choosing the print settings. Am I missing something or do I just have to do custom sizes for it?

A: I have the Canon Pro100...under print paper size is listed, Letter 8.5 X 11 22 X 28cm.

[25x Sheet Paper] Use this paper occasionally for gallery prints. Like the brand. Am not wild about the 'Pearl' look for many prints. But, when I need it, this paper delivers. 5

[97%] Hahnemuhle paper is considered some of the finest ink-jet paper on the planet. I agree. This 100% cotton rag pearl paper will reflect what you see on your computer screen. It is a beautiful, heavy weight paper that will endure and hold its color for many many years. I highly recommend all of Hahnemuhle's 100% cotton rag papers. 5

[Alpha Cellulose] It's hard to find a 'bad' Hahnemuhle paper, but Pearl is really great for both color and black/whites. I'm a photo rag person, so this was the perfect mixture of rag and exhibition quality semi-gloss. I've used it for portfolio prints and fine art. 5

[3.155 lb] This paper is absolutely beautiful. It looks and feels a lot like traditional silver gelatin paper. The prints are crisp and have a full tonal range. The finish on the paper is just the perfect amount of sheen and it feels nice when held. It feels like actual paper, not plastic. It also have a bit of a warm tone to it, so it is not stark white, which I like. I bought a roll of it as well and it is now one of my favorite papers. It might be more appropriate for printing black and white images, but it prints color very nicely as well. 5

[3.155 lb] This is a fantastic paper. I use in both for its quality and because it has no OBAs, which is important to me for making archival work. It renders portraits and skin tones beautifully. I highly recommend it. 5

[25x Sheet Paper] A very nice quality paper. It has a little sheen...pearl-like. Recently printed a moon shot and the pearl-like finish made it really stand out. 5

[220 gsm] I am using this with a custom printer / paper profile created for my Epson 3880 with the x-Rite i1 Pro2 tool. The paper is producing very nice results for my color photos, and I have been further adding a Hahnemuhle spray coating. 5

[Yes] This paper is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Shooting automotive and commercial product photography this paper takes your images to a whole new level. The colors or just jumping off the page. My instructors were floored with my prints. Can't go wrong with this paper. It is made to impress. 5
