[Nickel] We purchased this cable for use with a new monitor. We've never used a Mini DisplayPort connection before, but it is working well with no issues whatsoever. The cable seems to be of very good quality, and I especially appreciate the solid connection with the PC interface and the monitor. The product description indicates its use for MacBook products and HDTV, but we use for a PC to monitor connection 5

[Nickel] If you have a Dell Latitude with a docking station, the only way you can get full resolution on a 30 monitor is with a DisplayPort cable. This did the trick. 5

[Yes] heavy duty cord. safety release buttons on connectors are nice. better solution than DVI when used with linear display monitors doing color sensitive work. 5
