A: In the traditional receiver there is a tape monitor feature allowing an equalizer to be connected to the input and output RCA connectors. You would then use the equalizer to connect your tape deck. This receiver has no provision for this traditional equalizer circuit. There are three lines available...DVD player, CD recorder, and tape deck...there is no tape monitor button or selector. Only one source is available at a time. I would suggest that you look for a receiver which has a tape monitor button as well as inputs and outputs utilizing the RCA jack feature.

Q: 5. Can I use this receiver as a Dolby Atmos amplifier? Ideally I need this receiver to amplify signals to two speakers My main receiver allows 11.2 channel decoding but only amplifies 9 channels. Also will banana plugs fit in these speaker out connectors? Thanks.

A: While you could use this as just an amp for an atmos setup, you can probably find a dedicated amp for less that might suit your needs. I don't believe the unit has an auto on function, so you would probably need to leave it on 24/7 or have a universal remote with a macro to turn it on when you turn on your reciever, or use the included remote but who wants to add more remotes to the mix. You also waste all the features like Bluetooth and multiple inputs if used like that, I mean you could use them but you just as likely have all those features on your atmos receiver. About the only advantage of this amp is it powers 2 zones simultaneously, so if it was powering your fronts, you could wire up a second room as well for when playing music.

A: The only way to connect an external equalizer to the Yamaha R-S202 would be to go from the output on one of your input devices, into the equalizer and then into one of the RCA inputs on the back of the Yamaha R-S202.

A: Yes, however you would need to be sure to adapt the RCA output to your PA system. As for Zoom it you would select it under devices for microphone in settings.
