Q: 1. How long will the DJI rechargeable battery last for?

A: The battery in the Focus lasts up to 14 hours on a single charge.

Q: 2. Will the remote work for different brand's motors?

A: PDAI P, no. The DJI Focus is only compatible with DJI Focus motors, DJI aircraft, and the Osmo series of handheld gimbals

Q: 3. Can this be used on an X5 mounted to an OSMO or Inspire 1? I'd like to have my co-pilot pulling focus on the second remote. Is this the solution I'm looking for?

A: While I do not think you'll be able to mount this on the OSMO you can use this with the Inspire 1 Quadcopter carrying a Zenmuse X5 or X5R camera. The range is 330 feet line of sight

Q: 4. Could this work with my Canon 6D, Panasonic GH4, or Sony A7sII on a Ronin M?

A: I recently purchased the DJI Follow Focus for use on a Ronin-M with Sony A7Sii. The camera is too 'small' with an attached 24-70mm lens and the camera has to be mounted as far as possible on the baseplate in order for the lens' focus ring to reach the follow focus motor. This makes the rig too front heavy without a way to properly balance it (without piecemealing a solution). I have yet to find a solution.

Q: 5. How is the motor powered? The set comes with a bunch of cables but no battery. What kind of battery will work with it?

A: It comes with a Ptap (Dtap) plug that you can power to a battery with that kind of port. I use Vmounts on my Red Epic and connect to that when using the system.

Q: 6. Will this send focus encoder values over freed?

A: The HTC Mars FIZTrack for VIVE Mars CamTrack will send focus encoder values over USB-C to the VIVE Mars CamTrack when used on the focus ring on a lens.

Q: 7. Why is this suddenly unavailable in the USA? Nobody is selling them anymore.

A: Unfortunately DJI has discontinued production of the Focus Wireless Follow Focus System. The latest version is DDJI Focus Handwheel.
