Manfrotto 190X3 Tripod with MHXPRO-2W Fluid Headis suitable for still photographers, video shooters, and even birdwatchers who want professional features in a small package. The included head supports over eight pounds of camera and accessories on a head with two fluid drag settings to smooth your tilts. The head allows you to tilt from straight down to almost straight up in one continuous move, and the quick release camera plate lets you quickly pull your camera from the head when you have to move quickly.

Two tilt drag settings allow you to adjust the head to match the needs of the shot, and the fixed pan settings provides you resistance for slow smooth pans. The aluminum legs feature a 10" triangular shaped center column that adds height while maintaining torsional stability. The spreaderless design and independent leg height adjustment allows you to use the legs on uneven surfaces without sufferening from wobble that ground level spreaders can cause. Four preset locking positions allow you to lower the legs to approx. 7.5" high or nearly to the ground with the optional ground level adapter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. do they have a bubble level on the Manfrotto 190X?

A: Yes. There is a buble level on the Manfrotto 190X.I recommend this tripot. It is very solid and steady.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech Fluid Video Head?

A: Yes, the Manfrotto MT055CXPRO 3 can work with the Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech Fluid Video Head.

Q: 3. Does this model extend horizontally?

A: The Manfrotto 190X3 Three Section Tripod does not extend horizontally.

Q: 4. What is the weight of this tripod combo vs. the aluminum version which is listed at 7.7 pounds? Thanks!

A: While not a big issue, the Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3 Carbon Fiber Tripod actually has a weight of 4.41 lbs. The Manfrotto MHXPRO-3W 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head is correctly 2.2 lbs. The kit has a combined weight of 6.61 lbs. The Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod is 5.51 lbs, so the aluminum version with the MHXPRO-3W would be 7.71 lbs. The carbon fiber kit would be 1.1 lbs lighter than its aluminum version.

Q: 5. If I put a Manfrotto Move on this will I still be able to fit the tripod with the fluid head on in the included bag? I added one to another tripod I own and it barely fits.

A: The bag included with the Manfrotto 504X Fluid Video Head & 645 FAST Aluminum Tripod with Mid-Level Spreader kit is designed to hold only the tripod and head in this kit.

Q: 6. Does this tripod have the RC2 rapid connect adapter and is it compatible with the Magpul M-Lok Tripod Adapter?

A: This fluid head features the MA200PL plate which is the same plate on their RC2 rapid connect adapter (BH#:MA323). According to Magpul, their M-Lok adapter is compatible with all of Manfrotto's RC2/Q2 interfaces so this tripod should work just fine with that adapter.

Q: 7. MT055CXPRO3 or MT055CXPRO4? Trying to decide between these two. Thank you!

A: Choosing the 3 you will have less legs to extend and collapse which can be annoying as it is. Also less legs allow for a more sturdy tripos as appears to the 4. Between the 2 there is not much difference in fully extended height and collapsible height. I would go for the 3. If anything I would be questioning th need for carbon fibre. If you need a real sturdy tripos go non carbon fibre, the more weight the better for longer exposures!

Q: 8. Is there a gimble head that would also work with this tripod? Looking to use with a D500 + Sigma 150-600C.

A: The Oben GH-50 Gimbal Head is compatible with the Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3 Carbon Fiber Tripod. This is a Good head for the Sigma 150-600mm lens and the Nikon D500. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/2MExMsJ

Q: 9. I need a good tutorial on how to tighten the legs. This is my second tripod where the legs become loose over time. Can someone direct me to a tutorial?

A: Although there isn't a tutorial on this topic, Manfrotto suggests that 3 turns on the screw that secures the leg locks with the provided tool would suffice.

Q: 10. OK, the legs have different angle settings, the most radical will put the tripod virtually horizontal as the third photo shows. This photo also shows a short stubby column, but this is not listed on the in the box list. What gives? How low can I actually put a camera with this tripod and head? 5 inches? 12 inches? The heighth of the column and the head?

A: 17.5 TALL IS THE SHORTEST I CAN GET MINE. THAT'S TO THE TOP OF THE HEAD (BOTTOM OF THE CAMERA.)

[Fluid Head] This tripod is solid. I guess if u want to pay more u can get the lighter carbon fiber tripod but if u can lift 5 pounds this is a great one. The mandrotto head is so smooth when panning and tilting. Great buy for either photo or video.

[Aluminum] Needed a new tripod for shooting video with an iPhone and mobile journalist gear. Choose this set up with fluid head and it's really perfect. About 5 pounds total, sturdy and well made. The leg extensions work smoothly, and even fully extended, provides a nice base. Fluid head is smooth.

[Fluid Head] I was bewildered by the number of options, at widely varying prices, for a tripod to use for birding with my spotting scope, and a seasoned birder recommended this one. It's perfect and was reasonably priced.

[Aluminum] I just recently bought this tripod with uncertainties. I've read all the reviews and they go back and both about whether it is a good product or not. I know everyone has difference preferences and opinions. But I know that it's safe to say that this tripod is sturdy, it is useful and very convenient for both photography and videography. Panning and movement is very stable. For those who claim it isn't, you just need to play with it to get the right tension for your preference. It's a perfect height and I am pleased to say that I am very content with my purchase. Thank you.

[Fluid Head] This tripod is very affordable and still maintains very smooth pans for video and keeps the camera very still for long exposure photos.

[7.4 lb] I am using this tripod with a Swaro spotting scope for birding and it has proven to be a good choice for my needs. The leg locks have a convenient design and the head controls are easily adjustable for pan and tilt. I was concerned with the weight and debated whether I should spend more money for a carbon model. With my scope the weight has been fine, although haven't carried it more that a mile yet.

[7.4 lb] I've used this for about a month now and it is a major upgrade for me. I previously had a really nice (manfrotto) photography tripod, but shooting video with a photography tripod proved extremely difficult. The fluid head is really smooth and the construction is very solid. The only critique that I have is that the clips for the leg extensions can be difficult to unlock and lock- especially on the fly, but that is really not a big issue.
