Q: 1. Will this work with VC1 3.5mm 10' Extension cable that requires a plugin power or do I need VXLR Pro ?

A: Yes the Rode VC1 extension cable will work with the Rode VXLR+ adapter.

Q: 2. I want to run my iPhone to our church sound system. Can I use a lightning to 1/8" adaptor and then the Switchcraft 318 to go to xlr and get a good signal?

A: Yes, the Switchcraft AudioStix Stereo 3.5mm Female to Balanced Mono XLR Male Adapter is a good solution for converting a stereo 3.5mm signal connection from an iPhone to mono XLR output for connection to a sound system.

Q: 3. Can I connect a mixer's phone stereo out to the 3.5mm female and use XLR to TRS female adapter to convert headphones to mono?

A: Yes you can connect the headphone output of a mixer into the 1/8'' input on the Switchcraft AudioStix adapter.

Q: 4. Will this work w/ Sony PXW-Z90V? I dont understand the whole power converter thing

A: Yes the Saramonic C-XLR+ will connect to a mic input on the Sony PXW-Z90V.

Q: 5. Will this work with my stereo clippy mics which end in a 3.5 male trs to be able to use the xlr inputs for my MixPre6?

A: The ALZO 3.5mm Female to Dual XLR Male Stereo Microphone Adapter Cord for Pro Camcorders is compatible with stereo microphones which use a 3.5mm TRS connector.

Q: 6. Would this work with the Rode VideoMic NTG TRRS output (allowing you to record the signal in addition to the safety track separately) with any mixer with XLR inputs?

A: The adapter has a female 3.5mm TRS connector, so to avoid the possibility of any issues with compatibility, it would be better to use a TRS cable instead of the TRRS cable since the auto-sensing feature may not work properly when connecting to an adapter rather than directly to a mic input. For a standard TRS cable, you could use the Rode SC2 Right-Angle 3.5mm TRS Coiled Patch Cable (B&H # ROSC2). As an easier solution, you can use a single Y-cable with 3.5mm TRS and left/right XLR connectors like the Kopul Y-Cable with 1/8" TRS Stereo Mini to 2 XLR Male Connectors - 3' (B&H # KOSMYCM2XM03) or Hosa Technology Pro Stereo Breakout Cable - 3.5mm Stereo Mini to Dual 3-Pin XLR Male - 3' (B&H # HOHMX003Y) or Hosa Technology Stereo Mini-Phone (3.5mm) Male to 2 XLR Male Y-Cable - 6.6' (B&H # HOYCSMM2XM6). All of the Y-cables are available in longer lengths. The single Y-cable ensures a proper left/right split and helps to avoid introducing noise into the signal.

Q: 7. Will this work with the Tram TR50?

A: Hello Stan, I show the TR50 as a XLR connection and therefore it would not. If there is a TR50 available with a 3.5mm TRS connector then yes, this will work for you.

Q: 8. Does this work with Sennheiser MKE2 mics?

A: Yes it will

Q: 9. Can someone confirm that this cable splits the right channel and the left channel? I'm thinking it might go well with the Deity Microphone V-Mic D4 duo on and ENG type camera such as the Sony FS5.

A: Yes. This cable will split the left and right on the 3.5mm to seperate male XLR conectors.

Q: 10. Does this work with the Sennheiser MKE2 Gold EW lapel mic?

A: Yes it will.

[0.245 lb] I used this for audio, to replace a lost stereo microphone cable. It is super robust and great quality construction. and much cheaper than buying one from the microphone manufacturer.

[Yes] Perhaps not initially intended for this purpose, i am using for a mid side recording set up in a wind screen blimp and piggy packing two small diaphragm mics, and using the matching 5pin smaller breakaway.

[0.245 lb] I'm doing a series of round table discussions around the country with eight talent in each discussion session. Because i'm flying to each location, space and weight are at a premium so I'm using a Zoom F8 mixer, HOSA Little Brother 50-foot sub snake and eight dpa 4061 lavaliere microphones plus accessories and a slate. Everything has to fit in a carry in a small roller case and a small back pack so i don't have to check any bags. I'm using eight of the 10-foot Remote Audio cables to split off from the sub snake to feed the lavalieres. I carry a few-25 foot XLR cables as back up's if I need a little bit more reach. The 10-foot cables made all the difference in the world for space and weight constraints due to air travel. I've used Remote Audio cables for over a decade without a single cable failure. Remote Audio makes them tight and right.

[0.245 lb] B and H got me this cable quick, and on the shoot. I needed it for a boom pole and it worked perfect. The Cable ends are tight, not cheap stuff, made great like it should be.

[Raven Black] I don't normally write product reviews, especially for accessory items, but this one deserves a mention. I needed a long audio cable for field recording and there are few options in this length without resorting to extension cables. This cable is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The build quality is very high - both the cable and the connectors are robustly constructed and will likely withstand many years of rugged field use. The velcro cable wrap is a nice feature - both to keep the cable organized when coiled and to attach it to a mic stand or boom pole when in use. All around a great product!
