  • QuickPole Series 5 booms are made of a custom-made carbon fiber compound with added UHM fiber layering. This technology makes the QuickPole Series 5 boompole very sturdy and superlightweight at the same time.

  • On set, you have to work fast. The QuickPole Series 5 addresses that with a key feature—the new Teflon sheet plus silicone-lubricated felts that make for silky-smooth extending and collapsing of the boompole.
  • The telescoping function of the pole works so efficiently that you'll be able to capture any sound source.
  • The re-engineered locks give you a better grip thanks to the refined knurling and slightly extended length.
  • By tuning the threading further, only a quarter turn is needed to open and close the locks securely and quickly.

  • A new anti-twist mechanism utilizes an innovative serration in place of a retention pin.
  • The lock pieces automatically fall into place when you disassemble and reassemble your pole for cleaning or maintenance, making the process effortless.

[41.25 x 2 x 2"] This seems to be the perfect length for me. I travel quite a bit so I need something that can shrink down to a size that fits in my Pelican Airs, while providing me a boom extension long enough to reach into the scene. Love it.

[41.25 x 2 x 2"] I used this E-Image Carbon Boompole recently for a weekend shoot. I found it to be strong and light weight, and the cushioned grip was appreciated by my hands. The joints require an easy twist, a little less than a third of turn to free each section.
The E-Image Boompole felt like a natural extension of my body at all lengths. When fully extended to 11.5' there was almost no flex using an Okatava MK 102 (MJ modified) with a Rycote shock mount & Rycote BBG. For those that wish to adapt it to an internal cable, I cannot report on this conversion but it is possible. I wrapped my cable around the pole and it worked fine. I did not detect any handling noise.
It looks and feels like it's built to last and it came with the bonus of an excellent case for protection. In my book this pole is an excellent value for the money and I highly recommended it.

[Removable] So far this is my favorite setup for run and gun audio. We use this with a small Matthews reverse stand and the Deity D3 pro. It’s great for setting up and breaking down quickly. This all fits great in our Think Tank Video Workhorse bag.

[1.5 lb] I'm impressed with this boompole. Let's start with the best part, this thing is super light. Carbon fiber is the best. Very strong and weighs almost nothing. That is fantastic. If you've operated a boompole you know how important the weight can be, so having it as light as possible is needed. Even the head/top is lightweight. A heavy boom pole can be brutal to work with so having one this light is great. It's nearly 8-foot reach is very useful. I feel like this will work in any situation. It's very easy to loosen the sections and it is very easy to adjust the length. Really smooth. It also locks down well. It can be very annoying when a boom pole does not lockdown well and the sections twist and loosen. This does not do that, which is important. I did not feel that they would slip. The build quality is really good, especially at this price point. Feels well-made and nice in the hand. I find it pretty quiet when extending the sections also. This helps if you need to make any length adjustment during a take. Again, I'm very happy with this boom pole, it's quality and the price are fantastic. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[41.25 x 2 x 2"] I own the The 8.5' 4-Section Telescoping Carbon Fiber Microphone Boompole. I really like the comfy foam to keep your hands warm and protect against sweating to make it easier to grab and handle. It works really well. I also like the easy way to screw in and out to extend and shorten the pole. I also like how if you need to change the end for a different type of screw adaptor. I also like the protective bag for the pole. It is nicely made with some pockets. I would recommend this boom pole. It's nicely made.

[3/8"-16 Male] It took me years to decide what pole to buy. I’ve used the ktek Klassic a ton for shoots but I never really liked the feel of them. A couple years ago I bought the travel boom by Ambient and it quickly became my “go to” boom for “run and gun” shoots.

However, there were a few shoots the travel boom could not reach talent. So I had to use my old pole. I recently bought this and it has been amazing. The new 1/4 turn locks have made it the fastest locking pole I have used. The internal cable so far hasn’t given me any noise issues. And the new easy to take apart system gives me confidence that I won’t have to struggle with any potential “coil-jamming”.

I really love the slick look of the carbon fiber design. I always get asked about my boom by other audio people on set who haven’t seen an ambient boom.

I will probably be ordering another soon for dual boom op situations.
