[Extended] The Sony Factory Extended Warranties are an excellent addition to any new VTR or camera purchase. There are no difficult third party hoops to jump through or requirements to satisfy. You simply register the item and the warranty online, and submit a copy of the receipt and warranty with the unit when it's sent in for factory service instead of submitting payment information. All other aspects of the factory repairs remain the same, except that the end user doesn't pay for them! I would highly recommend this purchase to anyone buying new Sony products.

[International] This document scanner, out of the box, is ready for individual owners/users and centrally managed corporate workgroups with many users (frequent and occasional) and many scanners. It has built-in ethernet as well as USB. The included software is well thought out; the many details are organized nicely, and done so that it's straightforward for all the different target users can effectively organize their scanning activity - by type, by destination, etc. It's business-oriented, assumes you know how to use your computer, as opposed to consumer-oriented (spoon-feeding you social media and assuming *it* knows how you use your computer). The scans are fine and it works fast; the multi-page feeder will easily do a multi-page two-sided (duplex) document, and the software helps keep it all together etc. All in all, complete, comprehensive, quite good.


If there's a downside, it's that there's a lot of different software modules it installs, and I found the updates a bit confusing - didn't find them automatically, and after I went and found & downloaded the update files, when I ran them it said they were already installed, so it's not immediately clear whether what came on the DVD is in fact the most current or whether what's installed was or even needed to be updated. It's OK in the sense that the software is complete and not buggy, so I can just get on with scanning.

[2-Year ] I haven't had to use the extended warranty or damage protection yet (knock on wood) but I feel confident having it. I was able to create an online Sony portal to refer back to my coverage and get relevant information. It was easy to set up and at a great price.

[2-Year ] Easy to set up and tie into our LAN. Drivers readily available. And, quick to load paper rolls and to print D size prints.

[International] Better be in a good position if an accident happens.

[International] An unusual way to obtain an extended warranty, but it works. Hopefully, will never have to use it! APS seems to be customer oriented.

[2-Year ] excellent device I plugged everything and it was good to go and it's protecting me from power outages and power surges awesome!

[Parts & Labor] As my old Pentax cameras have lasted forever and are built like tanks I am not expecting to need this warranty but I purchased it because of the reasonable price and length of the warranty ($50 and for 2 years after the Pentax warranty ends).
