With 150% of the required current for a 6-space 500-series enclosure, the Rupert Neve R6 500-Series Stereo Color Bundlewill help you hear the full potential of your modules. The headroom in available current helps prevent the power rails from falling under a higher than expected load. LED metering shows you how much power is being used and the internal power supply has been designed with double shielding to avoid significant magnetic induction in any of the channel positions.

The solid steel chassis has a collapsible handle for portability. The unit offers a total of eight balanced I/O channels with interchangeable TRS, XLR, and DB-25 connections with a 48V phantom power bus. The channel 7-8 thru connections can be used as a way to quickly and easily convert your signal from and to DB-25, XLR, and TRS connectors. To accommodate 500 series modules that are slightly out of spec, the unit has variable-position screw holes to make the installation process go more smoothly. A 500 series link function can be enabled in pairs using the link jumpers on channels 1-2, 3-4, or 5-6. Matching blank panels are also available to cover any empty slots.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this unit be calibrated and/or certified for industries that require measurement with calibrated/certified instruments?

A: Calibration and possible certification are done by the USA distributor of Sekonic. https://bit.ly/3BmQwoK .

Q: 2. Can this unit measure PAR of grow lights. I see it measures PPFD. Is this PPFD the same as PAR? I'm new at grow lights. It looks to be the same. Ie mol m2 s-1 or. umol m2 s-1

A: No, the unit will only allow the following reading CIE1931/CIE1964 CIE1976/CIELUV CRI (Color Rendering Index) Correlated Color Temperature (TCP) Deviation (Δ uv) Dominant Wavelength (λd) Footcandle Horizontal Footcandle (HFc) Lux Lux Sec (HLx) Peak Wavelength (λp) Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD) Purity (Pe)

Q: 3. Can this also be used to measure light levels (F stops)? Ambient, spot, or incident?

A: This meter can be used to measure incident light, measured as lux. There are no aperture or shutter speed or ISO numbers on this meter. These would need to be derived from the lux measurement and the ISO speed rating, to determine f/stops and shutter speeds. As a reference point for your calculations, Exposure Value (EV) 0 is equivalent to 1 second at f/1.0. At ISO 32 film speed, EV0 is the correct exposure for 10 lux incident light level. For ISO 500, at 110,000 lux, the correct exposure would be EV17. Remember that EV represents a collection of equivalent settings, so EV17 could be 1/1000 sec at f/11 or 1/500 sec at f/16 or 1/250 at f/22 or 1/125 at f/32 or 1/60 at f/44, and so on. For the same ISO 500 speed, 55,000 lux would require one unit lower EV than at 110,000 lux, thus 55,000 lux would require EV16 for ISO 500. With 110,000 lux and ISO 125, the correct exposure would be EV15. One of the possible shutter & aperture combinations for EV15 would be 1/250 at f/11. These examples should enable you to create exposure tables for yourself, relative to the lux readings you get from this meter. It does beautifully at measuring the spectrum of light sources and determining color rendering index and color temperature.

Q: 4. Can this unit be calibrated or certified for industries that require measurement with calibrated/certified instruments?

A: The Sekonic C-7000 Color Meter has all safety and accuracy certifications, but no specialized industrial certifications.

Q: 5. Can the C-7000 automatically take multiple data points (30 points every 1 minute)?

A: The Sekonic C-7000 Spectrometer Color Meter Bundle Kit BH #SEC7000K does not have the ability to do 30 readings per minute.

Q: 6. What's the diference between this and the C-800?

A: The Sekonic C-7000 Spectrometer Color Meter BH #SEC7000 is designed for industrial applications and the C-800 is designed for photo and video based work.

Q: 7. Does the C-7000 have a spot-metering accessory for reading reflected light? (For calibrating color off cinema screens)

A: No, at least as of September 2021, there is no accessory for the Sekonic C-7000 SpectroMaster Color Meter Bundle Kit (B&H# SEC7000K) to use it for spot metering.

Q: 8. Can I use it with Sonos Play 1?. if yes, what other component do I ?

A: You would need the Sonos Port to connect this turntable to a Sonos system.

Q: 9. I'm tight on surface space. Can you supply the L and W dimensions not of the whole unit but just of the outside of the feet?

A: This information is not specified by the manufacturer.

Q: 10. Will I need an additional preamp to power my speakers?

A: You will need an amp to power your speakers if they are passive.

[Single] This amp blew my socks off. I purchased this amp to use with my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro(250 ohm) headphones. The instant I plugged them into this amp I was blown away. The sound is so clean that I heard detail in songs that I hadn't heard before. I use this for mixing and hearing all this detail has really improved my mixes. I love this amp!

[1x XLR] Stop reading this review. Just scroll to the top and buy it. The Rupert Neve RNHP headphone amp is nothing short of unbelievable. The RNHP is a desktop-sized amplifier based on the headphone amp circuitry in the 5060 Centerpiece Desktop Mixer. Technical specs aside (you can go read those elsewhere), listening experience with the RNHP is phenomenal. The longer I've been producing music, the more important I think it is to use a proper headphone amp like the RNHP to drive your headphones or in-ears. I primarily use 64 Audio A10 custom reference in-ears and the biggest thing I notice when listening through the RNHP is an amazing clarity and smoothness to the sound spectrum. Comparisons with other devices or amps leave me with this primary take-away: there is so much power with the RNHP and such a low resistance that it's able to deliver both powerful transients and amazing detail immediately following any transients. The best way I can describe it is that I feel like there's no recovery period following a strong impulse, a recovery period where there's usually a loss of detail. The RNHP is able to deliver an incredible amount of detail, distance, and depth. My life is changed.

[1x XLR] First, I am an audiophile, composer, musician, and armchair recording engineer. I fully appreciate the fine details of great audio. This amp has changed my life! For years I've been listening through my Sony 7506 headphones directly from my computer, or through a Focusrite Scarlett Solo. I figured these were of high enough quality that I didn't think twice about it. I'm 66 years old and figured my ears were not as great as they used to be. Now matter what I listened to, I could hear and cringe at the shrill high frequencies. I got used to it and simply kept the volume down. I decided to see what a really good headphone amp would do. Maybe it wouldn't change a thing. Well, I got this Neve today and cannot believe my ears! The shrill is completely gone, and I can crank it up, no problem! It is so weird because I still prepare to cringe at the usual spots, and the shrill never comes! It'll take time to lose that reflex. The warmth is amazing, like a tube amp! My ears are fine, thank you! I love this thing! I can easily tell the difference in audio quality between various recordings. I'm going through a lot of DVDs and listening to my favorite music like I've never heard before! I may even upgrade my headphones to Sennheisers. Why not! My ears and new amp deserve it!
