Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the weight of these?

A: These binoculars weigh approximately 26.8 oz.

Q: 2. Does the binocular come with a neck strap?

A: Yes it does

Q: 3. Has anyone had the problem with the Celeston 15x70 Skymaster not being collomated? I saw the procedure on youtube and it does not look easy to do. I really don't want to go through this hassle.

A: Yes, I have this issue. I tired adjusting per the video with unsatisfactory results; I still have a second ghost image. I've used these to observe a model airplane stuck in a tree only. These are not for serious viewing.

Q: 4. My husband and I are going on a safari and these binoculars were recommended. Are they a good fit for safari or should I be looking at others?

A: I bought a pair of these two years ago, mostly for use at our country retreat outside Ithaca, NY. Deciding factor was the close focusing ability, though they are fine at a distance, as well. They seem virtually equal to a pair of Eagle binoculars I got for a birthday present some six years ago. Only thing about roof prisms is they provide less stereo separation at a distance. But issues like color fringing, collimation are negligible. A very good value. Was just watching a flock of cedar waxwings eating hawthorn blossoms with gusto.

Q: 5. Everyone is saying that these binoculars are really heavy, however its only 1.5 kg. Does it become very uncomfortable for a binocular, or is there add on weight?

A: I dont consider binoculars heavy. I normally have them mounted on tripod. When not the little extra weight helps steady them. Good buy for the money. I have recommended to a couple friends.

Q: 6. does it work well with eyeglasses?

A: it should, the viewing angles might be a little strange

Q: 7. Is this UV rays protected Binocular?

A: I am not sure - the specs say they are multicoated antireflective lenses.

Q: 8. Which is better TRAILSEEKER 10X32 or 8X32 BINOCULARS?

A: Both TrailSeeker model are ideal to own based on your needs. If you require higher magnification, choose the 10x32 model. If you require a closer near focus for bird watching for example, then choose the 8x32 model.

Q: 9. In the manual provided with the binocular a lever has been shown for zooming in and zooming out whereas the same is not there in the actual binocular. Pl. clarify?

A: The manual refers to both the 100x zoom and the 25x. The 100x is very much similar to this one except an extra zoom feature for adjusting to 100x. As far as I know, the 25x only has the knob between both barrels for adjusting the 25x zoom, and the focus wheel on the right eye piece. Those are the only two adjustable items on the 25x for sure.

Q: 10. How long is the warranty on these?

A: The Nikon 8x42 Aculon A211 Binoculars (Black, Refurbished by Nikon USA) BH #RBNI8X42A211 • MFR #8245B has a Nikon Limited 90-Day Warranty

[42 mm] For this price you absolutely cannot go wrong. We bought these and also a pair of Nikons in the $500 range, and the Celestron was better. It focused much quicker and was equal in the clarity and brightness. The Audubon site rated these first in class in the introductory level, and I now agree. For the price, it's almost unfair to competition. If you want to see your birds up close without breaking the bank get a pair!
Plus the construction and durability is great!

[8x] After considerable consideration, we purchased the Celestron 8x42 DX Binocular—absolutely no regret. We enjoy watching (and waiting for) birds, and our old pair of different make was beginning to go down in our estimation and in usefulness. The Celestron 8x42 is the top recommendation of the Audubon Society, and we wholeheartedly concur. The Celestron is bright, easily focused, adaptable to glasses (or non-) wearers and fully adjustable. A tremendous improvement over our last pair and truly the equal of our Nikon. This is an excellent accompaniment to bird or other distance viewing. And…B&H are a constantly reliable source for us. Well done.

[Center] I was a bit daunted by the number of options when purchasing my first set of binoculars, but after considerable research I settled on this pair and am quite happy with them.

[8.2 x 7 x 3.7"] Waited 3 months for B & H to have them in stock. They became available the day B & H said they would. Not surprisingly, the big A. matched their price the day B & H had them, but B & H still offered extras and their shipping was super fast. Perfect binoculars for my needs.

[2.3 lb] I've recently gotten into birding and received these as a Christmas present. I was immediately impressed with their quality. My wife tried them out and wanted a pair, so I bought one for her, and my parents were looking for some binoculars and got some too! All in all, 4 pairs of binoculars, 4 completely satisfied bird watchers. After almost a month worth of moderate use (3-5 days a week) they're still in perfect condition.

[8.2 x 7 x 3.7"] My first pair of binoculars. Glad I got this versus a higher power version as it is at the limits of what I can hold steady. The field of view is really wide reducing the time spent hunting for your target and the ergonomics are spot on for me.

The optics are really exceptional for the money to the point I’m not sure how much better the view can get with the more expensive options. I don’t mind the long focus throw but it can indeed be a bit too slow if you’re trying to track something that’s moving fast.

Overall it looks like I hit the jackpot with this one. It’s just right!

[17.5 mm] Purchased this binocular for the close focusing to watch birds at a feeder just outside a window. Image is very bright and sharp. Focus control is smooth and nicely damped. Nice case and caps. My first roof prism binocular, so it felt a bit awkward at first. Recommended.

[42 mm] An excellent pair of binoculars with great optics. Compact and easy to handle. The captive lens covers are an additional thoughtful touch.
