Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this telescope come with a 1.25" eyepiece adapter?

A: The Celestron StarSense Explorer 8" Smartphone App-Enabled Dobsonian Telescope BH #CESSE203DOBT • MFR #22470 comes with a 1.25" eyepiece adapter.

Q: 2. Does this work for the 130SLT? If not where can I get a wedge for the 130SLT?

A: You would need a different mount to use a wedge with this telescope. An Equatorial Mount would be the best choice, where no wedge would be needed.

Q: 3. Does this work with the 9.25?

A: No, the Celestron HD Pro Wedge is the one that will work with the 9.25 and it's tripod.a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/726918-REG/Celestron_93664_HD_Pro_Wedge.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/726918-REG/Celestron_93664_HD_Pro_Wedge.html/a

Q: 4. ac to dc adapter interchangeable?

A: Amanda -- the Celestron AC to DC power adapter allows you to convert your AC wall socket power to 12 volt DC power to run the electric motor in the telescope drive unit. That is all that is does.

Q: 5. Does this Celestron AC to DC power adapter come with interchangeable power outlet connections for different country power outlets?

A: No, the AC to DC power adapter does not include interchangeable power outlet connectors. You will need to purchase them separately.

Q: 6. Will this work for the NexStar 127SLT?

A: No, the EQ Wedge is not compatible for use with a NexStar SLT mount. Sincerely, Garrett at Celestron

Q: 7. Can you attach a DSLR camera to it?

A: You are able to mount a DSLR camera onto the Celestron StarSense Explorer 114mm f/4 Tabletop Dobsonian Telescope two ways. One way is to remove the eyepiece, and replace it with a T mount, and the appropriate dedicated camera T mount adapter. To see what T mount adapter you need, it will depend on the actual DSLR you want to mount. For example, here is one for Canon DSLRs with the Canon EF mount: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/261256-REG/Celestron_93419_T_Mount_SLR_Camera_Adapter.html and here is a T mount: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/202135-REG/Celestron_93625_SLR_35mm_OR_Digital.html The other way to mount a DSLR camera onto the Celestron StarSense Explorer 114mm f/4 Tabletop Dobsonian Telescope, is by using the T mount adapter, and the Novagrade T-Mount Digiscoping Adapter connected to each other, and that way you can create photographs taking advantage of the magnification of the eyepiece, (When you replace the eyepiece you loose all the magnification of the eyepiece) https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1142995-REG/novagrade_ua_00t1_01_t_mount_adapter.html

Q: 8. Will it work for the FeelWorld $200 model of monitor?

A: Dont know - did not purchase this to my knowledge . Only purchased a ac adaptor for a celestron telescope recently

Q: 9. Do you need to mount this on a special tripod?

A: The Celestron StarSense Explorer 8" Smartphone App-Enabled Dobsonian Telescope comes with a Dobsonian Base from Celestron, and it is a sturdy foundation for the StarSense Explorer 8" optical tube assembly. The Dobsonian base is not supposed to be mounted on a tripod.

Q: 10. is this power supply (Celestron 18778) compatible with a Celestron Nex Star model 22082?

A: Yes this is the recommended AC power supply for your scope.

[USB] The GFX100II can record 8K videos in superb quality. The other recording modes are also impressive: 4K at 60/s, 5.4K and more.

BUT: only on a tripod, and: without a fan, the camera stops after 20-30 minutes due to overheating.

With the cooling fan, you can record endlessly.

Would be absolutely great: unfortunately, however, it is not suitable for my use (as a video camera to record car journeys - the image stabilization is too poor for this).

But that has nothing to do with the excellent performance of the cooling fan.

And by the way: I ordered it from B&H in Switzerland: it arrived after only 2 days: absolutely top-notch!!!

[Black] Works great. You can adjust the fan speed in the Canon menu. This one does NOT have extended buttons on the grip, or a metal bar to attach a strap. Just be careful you purchase the right one!

[Black] easy install, near-silent operation. you can't get much better than Noctua when you take into account performance and warranty. these fans are worth every penny

[USB] I run a couple of NAS enclosures and put these underneath to give a little extra cooling. I won't be 100% certain until summertime but my M2s and regular spinning HDDs have been running nice and cool over the past few months.

[USB] The fan is a lot quieter than I expected (even on high). I film a lot in my garage and the Texas heat was really pushing the heat limit on my XH2. The cooling fan seems to help a lot. It does get a little hard to maneuver the screen if you have the fan on, and a microphone and power cable attached to the camera, but it is needed for the cooling capabilities so all in all a good buy.

[Black] I bought this scope as an upgrade to my etx 90. I felt I needed a bigger scope for deep sky objects. I have only had this scope out about four or five times and it is awesome jumping from a 3.5 in to an 8-in scope let me tell you.! I was worried about not having tracking but it's a different type of experience it's a freedom that you don't get with a scope that has tracking . I like the fact that you just kind of grab it and look at something you don't have to push any buttons you don't have to program anything you don't even have to use the starsense, if you see something in the sky you want to check out grab it and move it over there. My skies are not very dark around here but I was still able to make out m13 more of a smudge due to light polluted skies but it was still cool, Andromeda Galaxy looked real good and of course the moon Saturn and Jupiter looked amazing, I needed a filter for the moon, it way too bright. The scope is not very hheav to move especially if you separate the base carrying them out one at a time is fine. I like the knobs to adjust the tension you can get it just right. The starsense works good it's accurate to the point where it will put the object in or near the field of view of a 24 mm eyepiece but I think I need to align it better. We did try a little astrophotography using a Sony crop sensor camera in the 2-in section of the focuser ( we did not have enough focus adjustment using the 1.25 adaptor) and we took a real nice picture of Saturn. If you are on the fence go for it you will not be disappointed

[USB] The R5 Mark II does get overheated in warm climates (95+ F or lower temps with high humidity) making this a necessary adjunct.

The fan is not temperature triggered. It is manual: off or on set through the configuration panels. When on, fan speed is selectable: high, medium, and low. Because of its architecture this grip does not function as a standard grip with duplicated controls. I have not used the Ethernet connectivity.

NOTE: When the R5 starts to get warm a temperature gauge appears in the viewfinder with bars going from green to red and when hot it will automatically shut down. Canon suggests turning off the R5 anytime you can in warm situations. This does work very well.
