This V-Bracket's width spans 5" and has a tiered design for mounting up to three additional accessories. The wider expanse of the 5" bracket allows for the attachment of larger monitors and other accessories.

The bracket is machined out of a single piece of aluminum alloy, which provides greater strength to the three shoes.

The bracket can attach directly to a camera via the accessory shoe or, additionally, it features a 1/4"-20 socket for attaching to threaded mounts such as a tripod.

The bottom shoe that mounts on to the camera features a locking pin, which prevents the bracket from rotating.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is 4.1 wide from the centers of the 2 top shoe mounts? Would someone please help? Thank you.

A: No, it's 4.1 from the outside edges of the 2 top shoe mounts. It is 3 & 1/4 to the centers of the 2 top shoe mounts.

Q: 2. Will this fit a Sony HVR-HD 100ON?

A: If you mean the Sony HVR-HD1000U Digital High Definition HDV Camcorder, yes this will go into the top mounted cold shoe. If this is not the correct camcorder, please email us at provideo@bhphoto.com.

Q: 3. How bright?

A: The item is a bracket. If you are referring to the weight and how light it is, It is approximately 2 oz / 56.7 g

Q: 4. Will this work in conjunction with my Yongnuo YN622C-TX Wireless flash controller? In other words can I mount this along with my canon 430 EXII strobe?

A: No, that will not work. That bracket is a cold shoe adapter. And the controller to work needs to be attached to the camera via its hotshoe.

Q: 5. How high are the two mounts from the standard center cold shoe? I need to raise a mic so the windscreen is out of the frame.

A: Hi,The tallest one is about 80 mm (3,15 inch) and the lower is about 47 mm (1,85 inch) measured from the bottom of the cold shoe to the bottom of the shoes on each arm.I use a wide angle converter and an old Sony microphone that is not too long and that works fine. As long as you don't use a shotgun microphone it will probably stay out of the frame, but try so simulate it before deciding..!Kindly

Q: 6. what size will I need to fit a rode videomicro and a mid sized smartphone?

A: Depending on how you choose to mount (order of items), this size should be plenty for the two products you referenced.

Q: 7. Will this fit my FDR AX100 Sony?

A: I believe so, yes. Note that your camera's shoe mount is a hot shoe mount, able to power accessories like a viewfinder, flash, or microphone. The V-Rig 4.1 Triple Shoe Bracket will support external accessories PHYSICALLY, but will not conduct a signal from your camera to the accessories. This bracket would be a good solution for you if you need to mount things like lights or wireless microphones that have their own power source, but NOT for anything that requires a hot shoe mount.

Q: 8. Will this fit an Auray DUSM-1 in the middle coldshoe?

A: Yes the Auray shock mount will fit in the middle, but other items may or may not fit the Vello Shoe Bracket at the same time.

Q: 9. Just wondering if these things can be daisy chained - buy 2 and mount the 2nd in one of the 1st shoes?

A: Physically you would be able to connect one Vello V-Rig 4.1" Triple Shoe Bracket to one of the top three shoe mounts. However, you will have to be very careful with the weight of the items you use in that configuration. We also offer taller shoe brackets like the following if you were looking to add height. Vello V-Rig 6.5" Triple Shoe Bracket BH #VECB485

Q: 10. Can I use this bracket to mount 1 microphone and 1 camcorder on a tripod such that the camcorder points straight ahead and the microphone points 30 degree away from the direction of the camcorder ?

A: Yes, provided your mount for the microphone is such that you can adjust the mic position in any direction you want.

[Aluminum] I've decided to use the R5 C rather than a separate video camera and this gives me more shoes for the lapel mic receivers.

[Aluminum] It fits the hot-shoes on all my DSLR's and mirrorless Canon cameras. I've used this to position a mic away from the lens to reduce focus motor noise pick up and to also hold a Lume Cube front-fill light. The cold-shoes are snug and the base shoe locks to the camera. It's solid, strong and fits. Dependable and does the job.

[Aluminum] Honestly, this has been a wonderful addition to my camera line-up. It fits my FeelWorld 7 monitor and Sennheiser lav mic receiver as well as a Rode boom mic all at once. Thank you Vello! This 5 V-Rig is perfect. Everything in one place where I can monitor it all in one look.

[Aluminum] I bought this to use a led light on the tallest shoe to change a little bit the shadows when shooting at dark events, I'm just trying to avoid the front light to the subjects. It is all metal and feels very solid.

[Black] Note that this bracket is available in three sizes: 4.1, 5 and 6. Be sure to purchase the right size for your rig. As well as the shoe mount, a standard 1/4 x 20 threaded hole in the bottom shoe allows it to be mounted on a second tripod or, with an adapter (available separately), on a light stand. These brackets are study and small, a good investment for a lightweight rig. The 4.1 bracket weighs only two ounces.
