Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are there any compatible antennas for this to extend the range?

A: No. The Sennheiser EW 500 BOOM G4 Camera-Mount Wireless Plug-On Microphone System includes the bodypack-style EK 500 G4 Pro Wireless Camera-Mount Receiver, which has an integrated/molded antenna, the receiver cannot be used with an external antenna. If you swap the EK 500 receiver and use the Sennheiser EM 300-500 G4 Wireless Receiver (such as B&H # SEEM3005MGAP for AW+: 470 to 558 MHz frequency band), you will be able to use remote mount antennas or half-wave antennas for extended range. However, the EM 300-500 requires AC power and is not camera-mountable, so that could be a drawback if you need to have a portable, battery-powered system.

Q: 2. Will this work with a lav rather than Handheld mic?

A: The Sennheiser EW 500 BOOM G4 Camera-Mount Wireless Plug-On Microphone System will work with XLR lavaliers, and with Sennheiser-wired 3.5mm lavaliers with an adapter that can convert 48v phantom power to plug-in power (such as BH #ROVXLRP).

Q: 3. Will this short poncho work with nikkor 300mm 2.8 vr2 + tc1.7?

A: This short poncho will work with the 300mm f/2.8 VR II, however with the added length of the teleconverter, this lens poncho will be too short.

Q: 4. Can I plug line level into the SKP 500?

A: The SKP500 is made for compatibility with dynamic and condenser microphones. You can use the Sennheiser CL2 line cable connected to a Sennheser bodypack transmitter to be able send line level signal out from a mixer into the Sennheiser system.

Q: 5. Will theSennheiser SKP 500 G4 transmitter work with my sennheiser EK 100 G3 reciever?

A: Yes. You can use an SKP 500 G4 Plugon transmitter with an EK100 G3 receiver together, as long as their frequency ranges overlap.

Q: 6. I just used mine, this first time. Window is powdery and doesn't wipe off. Thought it was humidity onsite at first. Thoughts?

A: The Sachtler Rain Poncho could be cleaned by hand with dish soap and warm water. If the poncho has been left wet and mold has grown on the window, an all-purpose cleaning spray (like "Fantastik" or similar) could be used. Don't use too much, and scrub carefully. Just be careful not to get anything with bleach in it on the fabric, or you may cause unsightly stains.

Q: 7. Is this one size fits all? No women's size? I'm petite and will be overwhelmed with the poncho down to my ankles!

A: Yes, this is a one size fits all product. If you feel that it will be too large for you, which is very possible as it will fit larger males, you may want to consider getting a cover just for the recorder like B&H # OROR35 and using your own rain jacket that fits better. https://bhpho.to/2WlD9UJ

Q: 8. Does this have phantom power!

A: Yes, the SKP500 transmitter included in this kit can supply 48 volts phantom power, to mics that require it.

Q: 9. What size of rain shield will be ideal for a Sony A7SII + Small HD 5 '+ RODE VIDEOMIC X MICROPHONE + TILTA RIG ES-T17-A?

A: The rain shield would interfere with the normal operation of the SmallHD and the Rode Mic.

Q: 10. how ist the weight of the rain poncho sachtler sn606?

A: For me, it is great. Heavy enough not to let rain seep through, but light enough for easy run n gun.

[1 User] I've worked with many saxophone players and I played woodwind instruments. Not saying that I am an expert but I do have some experience with wind instruments. I am keyboardists with years of working with sampled saxophones. The samples have become better over the years but SWAM physical modeling is superior for duplicating the nuances and articulations of a real sax player. The only weak link is me. I need to think sax and not keyboardist when I use the SWAM plugin. My wife is a musician and when I would try to emulate a sax she would say 'that doesn't sound real'. Then I let her listen to a song with the SWAM Sax she said 'WOW, that's not you you're trying to fool me'. You won't be sorry with the SWAM Sax Virtual Instrument.

[Download] a great closely MICed string ensemble. great for small orchestra work. Definetly a learning curve to figure things out, but rewards when you do.

[Download] It's not a big sample library but the bell tones are excellent! I could not find a comparable library for this type of bell sound from the other big name sample library companies, so this fills a niche missed by others.

[Download] The Synchron interface is SO much easier to use (than the former Vienna Symphonic Instruments plugin). Sound quality and playability are impeccable.

[Download] This is my seventh virtual piano. See my review of the Bösendorfer also by VSL — this is just as supremely recorded and I prefer the Steinway sound. It's hard to see how anyone will ever do any better than this. There are 10 different microphone positions (plus the room mix which incorporates several of them in the standard library; I think the full library gives added richness). I use eight of them (not the Main or the main-C) and the plate reverb at 30% which I like better than the algorithmic reverb or the delay. If you can't afford the full, the standard will still be superior to anything else out there.

[Download] Lots of articulations that play well together. I also find the synchron player easier/faster to use than Vienna's older Vienna Instrument player or Kontakt based sample sets. Note that Elite sits somewhere between Chamber and Pro/I orchestra in terms of number of strings. I find that the number of strings in the Pro/I orchestra is enough that you lose some of that sense of 'bow on string'. With Elite you still hear some of that 'bow on the string'. Layering Elite on Pro is also really useful.
