Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with Cambridge Audio DACmagic 200 over coax?

A: Yes, the GeerFab Audio D.BOB (Digital Breakout Box) could feed the S/PDIF Co-axial input of the DacMagic 200M Digital to Analogue Converter from its own S/PDIF Co-axial output connection.

Q: 2. If you use the 3.5mm input jack does it disable the stereo mics? Or, can you use all the channels at once?

A: You can use one or the other, not both.

Q: 3. Will this adapter work with the Tilta full cage mount installed?

A: The Insta360 3.5mm Mic Adapter with Charging Input for ONE X2 is not listed as compatible with any cage.

Q: 4. Does the mid/side mic point to the back of the unit or towards the front (so I can record myself)?

A: It point away from the side with the display. You can see this in the sixth picture.

Q: 5. can this be used with an XLR mic going into an audio interface, such as a Focusrite Scarlett?

A: Yes, while the Focusrite family can accept a wide range of microphone input voltages, this device can provide additional attenuation. If the microphone is being over-driven in a particular sound field, this will not cure that problem. It is preferred that high attenuation not be introduced on the input side and then amplified back up by the pre-amplifier as the signal to noise ratio will suffer.

Q: 6. Regardless of possible stitch-line interference can a DJI wireless mic receiver be connected to the adapter. If the answer no, why not.

A: Yes the receiver from the DJI Mic Wireless Microphone Kit could, in theory, connect to the microphone input on the Insta360 3.5mm Mic Adapter with Charging Input for ONE X2 via 3.5mm cable.

Q: 7. Need to pad a piano mic before the mixer for better low volume control - does it matter where I put the attenuator in the line or does it need to be right after the piano mic???

A: Best results will be closest to the start of the signal chain(microphone).

Q: 8. Will this adapter also work in the Insta 360 One R Model, I am trying to get a Saramonic SR-XM1 with TRS pole to work in my Insta 360 One r ?

A: Unfortunately no. The Insta360 3.5mm Mic Adapter with Charging Input for ONE X2 will only work as a mic adapter for the ONE X2.

Q: 9. Can I connect this recorder to my Mac computer to capture non-copyrighted audio from YouTube?

A: The Zoom H2n 2-Input / 4-Track Portable Handy Recorder with Onboard 5-Mic Array (B&H # ZOH2N) may be connected to your computer to record non-copyrighted, non-copy-protected content.

Q: 10. My Zoom H2N Handy Recorder will save and play files on the SDHC card while it is in the recorder. If I place the SDHC card into a USB adaptor and plug into my computer to save the files, my computer won't read the files on the card. It does fine with a SD card, but not the SDHC. Why can't I use the SDHC card?

A: SD cards are based on the much older MMC format. The SDHC format isn't backward-compatible.Computers that don't specifically support SDHC won't recognize SDHC memory cards, and can't be updated to recognize SDHC cards. My understanding is that you'll need to acquire a newer computer to read the SDHC format. And don't forget, we now have SDXC-formatted cards, for 64GB, 128GB and 256GB SD cards.Bes regards

[192 kHz ] I don't know how they do this but this cheep 24 bit 192Khz audio card with optical in & out does the job which it has to do. I have other much more expensive ones which fail specially in Windows 10 64 bit. No symetric analog in & out but that can be solved with an extra ground loop isolater.

[24-Bit] Very easy setup and it sounds great. Been using mine for a week now with the Sennheiser 650's and it's a great combo. Very detailed yet smooth sound. We come a long way with technology over the last decade in pro audio. To get this type a sound 10 years ago you would of had to spend around a $1000 for a headphone amp/DAC combo and it wouldn't of even been portable.

[24-Bit] Got this amp to use with my Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 250 ohm headphones. Tried some other lower powered amps but this one really works a lot better. A note that this does come with a USB-C included for use in MacBooks. When I bought it, that wasn't listed.
