Great instrument, but you absolutely need a tripod/mount.

Best price in the market for the Celestron 25 X 100 Binocular. Came well packaged, fast shipping and no damage.

These 25x100 Celestrons are hefty enough for any binocular to be without some kind of highly specialized mount, one that exceeds the 9+ pounds rated one included in the package deal that B&H is offering. They exhibit little to no comatic aberration, provide pinpoint stellar imagery, peer quite deeply into extra-galactic objects as well.

Their telephone agent in fact quite rightly recommended that instead I order the Magnus VT-350, which was not only on sale, but can more easily manage the considerable heft of the 25x100s. An excellent choice! It is a very sturdy platform for the ginormous unit, coming with all the bells and whistles one would expect from a formidable piece of equipment, and will also easily accommodate my 20x80s, or for that matter, anything else I'd like to mount on it.�

But more importantly, the 25x100s are one of the finest binoculars I own (and I own an embarrassing number)...

I purchased my Celestron 25 x 100 binoculars from B &H and mounted them on a tripod rated for 10 lbs. I use them for astronomy and can see ORION and the Horsehead nebula very well as well as the moons that orbit Jupiter and the rings around Saturn. I also was able to use them to observe the comet PANSTARRS with great clarity. I very impressed with the optics as I also have a pair of FUJINON 16x70 and these Celestron are just as good. For the money I don't think you can go wrong and Celestron stands behind their products. I would recommend them highly.

Great purchase and outstanding overall service!

When I got these, packed in two, not one, cases, I immediately set them up, with some difficulty, on the excellent Magnus VT-350 tripod that was quite properly recommended by the agent on the phone. Looking at a distant lightpole in front of a bright sky, I was struck by not only by the clarity of the detail (IF is great!), but also by the disparity of chromatic aberration. I planned on taking them out to the next scheduled star party with my Astronomical Society, to wow them a bit perhaps, but luck would have it, we were clouded out.
Anyway, I would not hesitate to persuade anyone to save big bucks by going ahead with these first and in the unlikely event you are not blown away, then empty your wallet for a more munificent product. Going that far is not something I readily do, but there you have it!

For the price these are an amazing value. Nothing out there at 25x100 comes in at this price range.

These binoculars 25x100 were the most powerful i could find in my price range, more powerful are way more money. I am very happy with them, they have crystal clear viewing, i can see the moons of Jupiter pretty well. They are not tellascopes so don't expect to see the flag on the moon. But a full moon looks real crisp and quite fascinating. I would definitely recommend these to any one just starting out for sure. Get the tripod too, the celestron one is $. or so. ... The tripod works very well too.

I compare this Binoculars with a 10 Reflector Astrograph Telescope i own, using a 21.5 mm Eyepiece, the difference is that i use both eyes,if you are a begginner i fully recommend you this product. You should use a tripod not so expensive for steady views. It is a stndard quality for a low Price.
