[Dark Brown] I like the small set-screw to secure the head to the spacer - that was a bonus. I do wish the top diameter was a bit smaller as I purchased this to use with a new RRS BH-30 head which has a positively tiny base, and there is still some minor interference if I rotate my camera (Fuji X-T3 w/ L-bracket) into portrait orientation. It can be worked around by not having the lens centered on the head plate.

Anyway...this is mounted to my my old-school Gitzo G1321 leveling base, and the BH-30 atop it all and the arrangement couldn't be more secure. Obviously, I should be using a newer travel tripod which fits the BH-30 better, but I do love the 1325 legs + 1321 leveling base. Oh well.

Would definitely buy again!!

[1] I have a Benro Mammoth TMTH34C Carbon Fiber Tripod and use a Benro GD3WH gear head on a 75mm quick leveling bowl. The problem I had was making side-to-side and, at times, up and down adjustments to my composures. The base of the gear head was not tall enough to “clear” the spider plate and top of legs which meant I’d have to reposition the tripod. Even the quick leveling base was impacted because the gear head knobs didn’t have enough clearance. It was time wasting and frustrating - especially at night shooting Aurora, Milky Way and our most recent comet! This extension was the fix! Solidly built and not too tall to be impacting stability, it saved me from looking at other tripod/head options or going back to my ballhead (which I no longer like to use). Why Benro didn’t just include this as part of their gear head design or have as an option to include with the quick leveling base is beyond me. But it does its job well and I’m very happy with it.

[1] Very happy with this product so far. Replaced computer desk in my home office with this because I was spending way too much time sitting while doing photo and video editing. Now I crank this desk up to 41 which is perfect height for me to stand and work. Very stable even when cranked up. Only complaint is that the desktop color is much darker than it appears in picture (nice looking but too dark for me), so after researching and contacting the manufacturer I am going to prime and paint it a lighter color. Assembly was pretty straight forward. Just follow directions carefully. I'd buy it again.

[1] Concern that control knob would hit tripod was relieved when I chanced upon a reference to this product.

[Dark Brown] Altho, it took 2 months for me to get my desk, it was backordered. B&H was very helpful in getting the answers that I needed. It took about an hour to put together...instructions were suitable. I love the big and locking castors. When you lock the desk before cranking it up, it is very stable. I love my new healthy working environment. I would highly recommend this desk to anyone! Thank you :)

[0.85] Perfect, allows me to use my geared head on my large tripod head. It was shipped to me in New Zealand, arrived in a week from ordering, fantastic.
