Your voice will come through loud and strong thanks to a lightweight, fast-moving diaphragm that's sensitive and has a flat, vocal-centered frequency range from 50 Hz to 12 kHz. At 96 kHz / 24 bits recording, your streams and recordings will sound better and capture every nuance of what you're saying.

You won’t pick up random sounds around the room, because the super cardioid pickup pattern is hyper-focused on your voice—just like your audience will be.

Press the center of the control knob to mute yourself momentarily. The LED lights at the top of the mic tube will change into red, so you’ll always know when you’re on mute—unlike some of your coworkers during Zoom meetings.

The same knob controls both the mic gain (how loud your voice is going into the mic) and the headphones' volume (how loud your voice is heard in your headphones), so you can fine-tune how you sound, even in the middle of a streaming or recording session.

Tend to pound the table when you're making a great point on your podcast? The built-in shock absorber in the microphone's base will keep your audience from hearing any weird thumping sounds when you do.

Plug into your laptop, desktop computer, or digital mixing board with the included USB-C cable and start talking. It's that simple.

Adjust the position of the microphone easily with the ball joint attaching the mic to the stand.

With the included JBL QuantumENGINE software, you can quickly adjust EQ and gain to fine-tune your sound, mute and unmute yourself, apply noise reduction, and perform a quick mic test, all from your computer screen.

[24-Bit ] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this not only sounds good, but it's instinctual to use, whether through the onboard controls or the app. The JBL quantum stream talk microphone is equipped with a super cardioid voice pick up pattern that is intended to pick up sound that is directly in front of it. This is perfect for when you only have a single sound source and don’t want to pick up room sounds that would affect the recording such as recording a podcast, on a skype/teams call or games that require online interaction or to stream your comments during the gameplay. I must say that recordings I have created using this microphone are crystal clear, especially when compared to others using a standard headphone mic. Also there is the quantum engine software download which allows you to adjust various settings such as an equalizer (EQ), LED display and noise reduction. Some other notable features include voice monitoring with easy volume control, a shock absorber for noise reduction, and led ring indicator (red, blue and red for mute) to indicate the microphone status. I really like the LED indicators that are incorporated in the Quantum products, it definitely adds to the experience. I have paired this with the JBL quantum 910P using both the wireless dongle and a direct connection.

[0.79 lb] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start off with this does sound amazing. Not professional but easily good enough for gaming. It does a good job of keeping the sound of loud keyboards out of the audio stream even when placed right next to one. It is easy to use with intuitive controls. I will say you do have to press the knob kind of hard to make sure that the mute command registers but the led ring on the mic makes it obvious if it failed. Overall, very solid mic and a great choice for gaming. Also, pretty nice looking in my opinion.

I like that it has a button in the middle to turn up the volume or press it to mute, and the lights turn green when its working and red for mute. Also i love the slim design and the extra long cord for freedom to take it with you. It has a pretty simple hook up which was great to understand. This product is a must have especially if you are a gamer like me.

[0.79 lb] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit came nicely boxed and was easy to unpack. It has nice slim Setup was a breeze. but you must download an application for use with a Windows computer. Unfortunately, as of this writing, this JBL Stream microphone is only compatible with Windows devices. A USB C to USB A cable is provided to interface with the computer. Once the App starts, it will search and find the microphone and then provide you with the various options that you may use for controlling the microphone.
It nice slim lines and is very easy to adjust. The base provides a solid foundation for the microphone, and also contains a combination volume control and mute dial. To mute the microphone all you have to do is press the volume control. It also has a nice ring of light around the front of the Microphone which glows green when it is active and red if it is off. The microphone is very sensitive and works quit well for my needs. I use it mostly for speech to text projects and it has worked flawlessly. It also has a 3.5 mm headphone jack built into the base.

In summary, this is a no-frills microphone that works flawlessly for my needs, which is primarily creating speech to text Word documents. It has saved me many hours of manual typing. I am very pleased with the JBL Stream microphone.

[End Address] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Quantum Stream Talk is a condenser microphone for streamers, gamers, and podcasters on a budget. It offers several features typically found in more expensive mics but with some trade-offs.
Pros:
Great audio quality for the price: The microphone captures clear audio with a wide frequency response, especially in cardioid mode (focused on a single voice).
Easy to use: Plug-and-play functionality with basic controls on the microphone itself.
Compact and portable: Small footprint and lightweight design make it easy to position and transport.
Built-in shock mount: Helps reduce vibration noise for cleaner recordings.
One-press mute button: Convenient for quickly silencing yourself.
Affordable: Priced competitively compared to other USB microphones with similar features.
Cons:
Limited pickup patterns: Only offers cardioid and omnidirectional modes, lacking the flexibility of some competitors.
Software required for advanced features: Windows-only JBL QuantumENGINE software needed for equalizer adjustments, noise reduction, and monitoring.
Omnidirectional mode not ideal: Picks up too much background noise.
No boom arm mount: Stand limits positioning options.
Microphone placement can be sensitive: Slight movements can cause audio spikes.
Overall:
The JBL Quantum Stream Talk is a decent microphone for streaming, recording, and gaming needs. It delivers good audio quality for the price and is easy to use. However, the lack of advanced features, limited pickup patterns, and software requirements might hold back users seeking more control and flexibility. If you're on a budget and prioritize simplicity, it's a worthy option. But if you need more versatility or professional-grade audio, consider upgrading to a more feature-rich microphone.
