Modular synthesizer enthusiasts looking for complete voice in a single module will appreciate the erica synths Bassline, a Eurorack-compatible all-analog synthesizer voice complete with a VCO (tri, square, or saw), a transistor-based sub-oscillator, a VCF (LP or BP), and integrated VCF and VCA decay envelopes. Based on two BBD-lines, the Bassline offers oscillator detune, which emulates the sounds of several detuned oscillators for a rich, swarmlike effect.

The filter has FM capabilities (FM CV input) and a dedicated filter cutoff CV input, as well as standard 1V/octave CV and gate inputs and an accent input, which boosts the volume and opens the filter when triggered. The Bassline offers separate triangle, square, and main outputs. The module includes a power ribbon cable and a set of mounting screws.

Q: 1. I got my Mini Converter Analog to SDI. Question: How do you get S-VHS video into the unit with the BNC cables? I have yet to find an answer on line nor is there any instructions for me to get my head around this. A shot tried to sell me an adapter but in one look it was simply an S-VHS female to an old fashioned RCA composite. What am I missing here? Thanks! Tom from Thailand

A: You need a S-Video to BNC adapter. Since B&H has a stupid policy you'll have to google that otherwise I'd attach a link.

Q: 2. Does the RJ45 connection support video pass through? If I were to go SDI in and Cat 6 out to a video control that sends to an LED Wall?

A: The ethernet port is for software control only. It does not pass video.

Q: 3. I have a Marshall CV226 3G SDI camera and a analog DVR. Will this convert it into a usable format for the DVR?

A: In a format of 59.94p, 1080p, the Blackmagic Design Mini Converter SDI to Analog will convert such a signal to an analog NTSC signal, which should then be accepted by an NTSC compatible analog DVR.

Q: 4. Hello, i have purchased this item and accepted now. What i want to ask is the ten year limited warranty, how to clain this warranty and where to? It didn't come with warranty card inside?

A: Link Electronics does offer a 10 year warranty on this unit, which is a great thing to have. To use the warranty you will need to go through Link Electronic's Support Page. Here is a link, just in case you need it in the future.http://bit.ly/1Pne905

Q: 5. What SDi signal inputs will this work with? 1920x1080i 59.94?

A: The following HD Video Standards will work: 720p50, 720p59.94, 720p60, 1080p23.98, 1080p24, 1080p25, 1080p29.97, 1080p30, 1080PsF23.98, 1080PsF24, 1080PsF25, 1080PsF29.97, 1080PsF30, 1080i50, 1080i59.94, 1080i60 1920x1080i 59.94 is compatible.

Q: 6. Can this device take 4 separate HD sdi inputs and convert to the 4 separate hdmi outputs? And put the scope up on one of those.

A: It is a single stream converter where some SDI inputs may take more than 4 connections. The 4 SDI inputs have tight requirements as to timing.

Q: 7. Can I use this to distribute video content over sdi to 2 projectors and 3 TVs with SDI to HDMI convertors in between 'Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini SDI 12G Distribution' and TVs / Projectors?

A: Yes. That is a good use for the Distribution amplifier.

Q: 8. ICF506: What are the dimensions, and what batteries does it need?

A: Three AA's or plug it in AC outlet. 9.1 X 3 X 7.3 inches. Weighs 2 pounds.The receive is good. *Charlie

Q: 9. Is this radi 110-220 v.?

A: This unit is 120v.

Q: 10. I have a Swann SDI camera and I have a new HD BNC Qsee recorder. Will this units output give me a usable HD BNC signal?

A: No, it will not. This will only give you a standard analog output, maybe wide screen but nevertheless it will be analog.

[14 HP] I have been using this as a source for automated modulations and a sweeping sweet-spot finder in my patches, overall it frees up some sends for me and I find cool sounds faster

[1x VCA] By now you've likely watched all the video demos and read all the articles so I am not going to write about the technical side of this synth. I will simply say it's well built (in China) and it's super well laid out and sounds like the Oberheim that it is. My only negative is that it is 5 voices instead of 6. Once you adapt your technique it's not such a big deal..the sound quality makes it worth it. You might ask why I didn't pursue the Berhinger.. I want to support Tom Oberheim

[0.595 lb] I’ve owned Synthesizers since 1972. I currently own quite a few from several manufacturers, Behringer, Roland, ASM, Elektron, Modal, Teenage Engineering and Korg (Volca FM 2 and Sample 2) to name a few.

10 years in the marketplace this Volca Keys has really held up to the test of time.

Marketed as an “Analogue” Synthesizer in reality the control signals are generated digitally with the CPU using a 10-bit DAC giving it near-analogue resolution. So this is a Subtractive Hybrid unit; an analogue sound engine with digital control so dial tweaks and note info can be recorded into the sequencer/accessed over MIDI. By the way, this is a good thing not a negative at all.

It’s a pretty easy to use, straightforward, with no menu screen, pretty much a dial per function arrangement. Great for beginners but powerful enough for experienced users.

I did notice notice that some dials are translucent and some solid. As a rule I found the solid dials' movements can't be sequenced, but the translucent dials can be sequenced and are backlit red plus flash to denote which parameters are active or recorded in a 'motion sequence' (motion sequencing captures dial movements into the sequencer).  The tempo dials flash in time with the internal/MIDI-clocked tempo and each key/sequence step has its own LED too, convenient for letting you know what's happening at a glance within complex sequences
.
It has 3 sawtooth wave oscillators & produces great upfront three-note chords, dirty lead/bass lines, ring modulated sounds and detuned unisons. It also features octave/fifth mono modes, a versatile tempo-syncable analogue-style delay that does reverbs/bit-crushing (from the Monotron Delay) freeform unquantised flux recording and 1/1, 1⁄2 and 1⁄4 tempo modes.

It uses the great MiniKORG700s filter. The LFO has 3 waveforms: sawtooth, square & triangle which make for some great modulation variety.
The Volca Keys really packs a lot in, it's very versatile and a true value at such a low cost.

[Eurorack Module] This is the second one of these I've purchased, to get even more voices. Out of all the prophet follow-on synths that Dave Smith and Sequential have produced over the years, this one finally captures the sound of the famous Prophet-5. Some people complain that they followed the scheme of the original Prophet-5 a little too closely and left out some functions (like onboard effects) that recent synths seem to have, but I think Sequential arrived at the right balance on this unit.

[Black] The minilogue is a full fledged 4 voice polyphonic analog synth with 1 LFO. You can save patches (200) and the oscilloscope is helpful for patch building. When recalling patches, there are several options for the knobs too-- the default is to 'jump' to the value that the knob is turned to, but there is also a 'catch' option that won't change the parameter until you move the knob to where it was in the saved patch-- this is very helpful for live performance to ensure smooth parameter transitions! I have been using in both studio and live setting. Overall a surprisingly well made and feature-full analog synth... hard to believe korg packed everything in at such a low pricepoint for analog polys!

[Analog] My expectations were met. My delivery was on time. Great for any age. I highly recommend as a gift. The price was very good. I have played with it everyday. It makes me want to write music with it. I love plugging it up into headphones or speaker system. Built in speaker is not best quality. The bass is insane. I also love playing along with songs. Thank you for your service!
