Modular synthesizer enthusiasts in search of stellar effects in the studio or onstage will appreciate the erica synths Dual FX, a Eurorack module with two Spin FV-1 chips in one module, each filled with eight custom effect programs with two adjustable CV-controlled parameters per effect and an analog dry/wet circuit.

Save all parameter settings with the effect and recall instantly during a performance. Additionally, the output of the first FX section is normalized to the second input, so creating huge layers of effects is easy. The module includes a power ribbon cable and a set of mounting screws.

Q: 1. I have an sm57 with very low output. Will this be enough to drive it? The 2i2, m-track and ur22 were not. Thanks.

A: The Yamaha MG10XU should work fine with an SM 57. Its hard to tell as I cant see how you have hooked things up and what is going on. But you should have no problem with that mixer and the 57. The first thing to check is phantom power off as that is a dynamic mic. The next thing to do is bring up the mic pre level to almost 12 oclock. Before you even touch the fader. Its the white knob that says gain. Make sure the switch is in mic and not line and the 20-dB pad is not engaged. Also make sure the main volume on the mixer is up.

Q: 2. Can You Record While Playing live On To A Recorder?

A: Yes, you can connect the output from the Yamaha MG10XU Mixer to an audio recorder to record a live performance. You can also record directly to a Mac or Windows computer, or to an iPad using the mixer's built-in USB audio interface.

Q: 3. Do I need an interface for this or does it's USB channel work the same way?

A: This unit features a built in interface. When connected to a computer the mixer will pass the main stereo mix via its USB connection.

Q: 4. Hi what is the power adapter you supply for this one - is it universal? (We need 220-240)

A: The power supply included with this product is not universal. Compatible with 120 VAC only.

Q: 5. How to connect this mixer to a subwoofer?

A: If the subwoofer has a Left / Right input and output, you would go from the Yamaha MG10XU Left / Right main out - into the subwoofer - out from the subwoofer to the Left and Right top speakers. Alternatively, if the subwoofer does not allow you to send the signal out, and the speaker has a line/mix output, you can connect that to the subwoofer.

A: Analog

Q: 7. Can you adjust the volume between playback coming from your computer, and the input coming from your mic? Most audio interfaces have an input/playback knob where you can adjust and hear varying levels of the track playing on your computer, and what's coming out of your microphone.

A: Yep. Every channel is individually adjustable for volume including anything coming in from the computer or mic.

Q: 8. Can I bring the program feed from this mixer into Zoom or other similar software directly via the USB port on the mixer?

A: Yes, the Yamaha MG10XU can send a 2-channel mix out to a computer via USB.

Q: 9. Hi can i connect 4 speakers and a subwoofer I'm going to buy it for my son he has a pair alto TS-415 that he bought here a pair qsc

A: Yes, it is possible to connect 4 speakers and a subwoofer to the Yamaha MG10XU 10-Input Mixer. The Alto Professional TS415 Active Loudspeakers can connect directly to the mixer, and as long as the subwoofer and the QSC speakers are also active (powered) speakers, they can also connect directly or be linked together.

[5 V p-p ] The Novation Circuit Tracks is by far the greatest groovebox ever built. I bought the original Circuit the week it came out in 2015, fell in love instantly, and over the years trained myself to sequence better parts. The Circuit Tracks is a fantastic follow up with two additional MIDI lanes, newly added scene functionality, and an expanded sequencer featuring step duration for each individual pattern. The sound engine appears the same as on the original Circuit but the original Circuit had a bit of digital hum to it and that has completely been removed. The delay and reverb effects are quite useful at low settings for creating ambience and at longer settings quite useful at creating washes of sound. All the knobs make real-time tweaking a joy and all the macro knobs can be recorded in your sequences for looped use. The Novation Components editor is quite good for patch design and as a librarian for backing up your sessions. I wasn't able to use my microSD card with this, as it wouldn't usually stay in and, when I did get it in, it would not copy my entire session to a new session slot. I do think this was a defect of my unit and not a consistent hardware error. This thing is great for the studio and perfect for DAWless jams but my dream is to really get nitty gritty with it and tour with it. I believe that's what Novation would want. 5

[5 V p-p ] I have been using this as a source for automated modulations and a sweeping sweet-spot finder in my patches, overall it frees up some sends for me and I find cool sounds faster 5

[Eurorack Module] Great keyboard, works as intended - and a good amount of options under the hood. Will your keyboard be a bit messier looking? Sure..but a really cool way to customize exactly what you want your perfect 4-voice poly/paraphonic instrument to do. And yes you can go beyond 4 voices using its midi outputs. All in all a pretty cool way to incorporate a case and keyboard in one. 5

[10 HP] Works great and really intuitive to use. There's plenty of video reviews and demos on the net to help learn the workflow for noobs like me. It's portable and great for spur of the moment ideas and helps get started learning electronic music without too many distractions. 5

[0.45 lb] remember to split your eurorack modules even on the buss power, you have second row and you can put your power hungry modules in that row, also you get about 70mm depth on the bottom row as there is no obstruction from the bus board, use modular grid to sort out the arrangement, I got this in 2 days from B&H, incredible timing.
