A: The main issue with quality focus by wire lenses is not whether it is smooth but the fact it is difficult to set marks since the scale is clutched. Your pulls will be smooth, but setting marks will not be.

A: The Nikon D610 will fit in the Outex Underwater Camera Cover Kit (Small, 82mm Lens). You could use lenses that are 6" long or shorter. The front glass is for lenses that have a 82mm filter thread. Other size front glasses are available.

A: Only if you have a Micro 4/3rds to Leica M Mount Adapter, and a basic Adapter will not communicate with the body. If you want that, you'll need one of the more expensive Adapters with electrical contacts. With so many Leica M mount lenses around, why would you want to use this one?

Q: 9. What's the difference between this & older the 25mm F/1.7 Leica lens?

A: The older Pana/Leica 25mm lens is f1.4 and metal construction, this lens is smaller, lighter, plastic (except for the lens mount which is metal) and f1.7

Q: 10. Does it work on a Sony E mount camera or is an adapter required?

A: No it does not. even if you found an adapter-I am not aware of any- it would have severe vignetting.

[Single Coated] The filter is fingerprint oil, dirt, and dust resistant. And it's strong. My lens hood isn't deployed all the time, and I'd rather replace a filter than damage my L lens. For non-L it's a tougher call, I guess, but pricey glass warrants pricey protection that doesn't materially adversely affect image quality. 5

[Aluminum] Bought this filter after doing a lot of research. Top of the line from Hoya as far as hardness & ability resist dust/oil contaminants. Important considerations if you do a lot of outdoor shooting. These are not inexpensive filters, however, let’s face it, if you’re spending a lot on a quality lens it only makes sense to protect your investment from damage. I’m less worried about damaging my investment while going through the woods (trip hazards abound) and more “focused” on my search for wildlife subjects. I have not experienced any degradation in image quality using this product & highly recommend it. I will definitely be using Hoya products going forward. 5

[Aluminum] I bought this filter for the Sigma 10-20mm ultra-wide angle lens. This filter does an excellent job protecting the lens as well as reducing the effect of glare from the sun. I use this filter in conjunction with a circular polarizing filter. I noticed during my last shoot that dust particles tended to collect on the filter, but with the proper lens-safe cleaning brush, those particles come right off. 5
