Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a Nikon D610 with the battery grip, is this the L-Bracket that I need for my setup?

A: The 3 Legged Thing bracket for the Z9 will not fit the D610 camera. This universal bracket will fit instead: https://bhpho.to/3nGgL7V

Q: 2. Will the 28mm f2.8 that comes with the zfc work with the Z6ii?

A: Yes. The Z fc comes with the Nikon Z-mount 28mm f/2..8 (SE) lens and it is compatible with FX and DX Z-mount cameras (42mm on DX cameras).

Q: 3. Is this a full frame camera?

A: No. This is an APS-C Nikon DX camera.

Q: 4. How do you take panoramic photos with the Nikon Z FC?

A: The Nikon Zfc Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens does not have in-camera Panorama Stitching capability. This is not a feature available with this camera.

Q: 5. Does the camera have a self timer, e.g., 2 sec and 10 sec.?

A: Because the Z fc has not been officially released yet, we have no way of confirming. However, based on the Z50, it's highly likely they will follow the same pattern of self-timer modes and include a 2, 5, 10, and 20-second self-timer.

Q: 6. What type of focusing screen is in this camera? How does it focus manually in the viewfinder?

A: The Nikon Zfc Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Lens does not have a focusing screen since it does not have an optical viewfinder; it has an electronic viewfinder. The camera focuses using the sensor directly, even when focusing manually.

Q: 7. Does it have the three buttons on the screen like the Z50? I'm left-eyed and my nose pokes the buttons on the Z50.

A: Nikon Zfc Mirrorless Camera has the display and magnification buttons on the body of the camera, not the LCD.

Q: 8. Is it convenient or effective when holding the camera vertical to shoot portrait format?

A: The Hoodman HoodEYE Eyecup for Nikon Z8 and Z9 Models has a rotating eyecup, so you can position the extended flap wherever is most convenient for the particular photo you are making.

Q: 9. Can I do ICM movement and overlay exposures in-camera?

A: Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) can be done with most every camera including the Nikon Zfc Mirrorless Camera. The Zfc also allows for overlaying exposure in Multiple Exposure mode.

Q: 10. Where is the Nikon Zfc Mirrorless Camera made?

A: Country of origin is Thailand.

[Arca-Type] Clean, simple, well made, perfect fit and weighs substantially less than the offering of their closest competitor (I own that one too). Kirk products have the best finishing and anodizing of any company. There are no sharp edges or burrs. Some folks have expressed disappointment that the vertical dovetail restricts access to the AF mode button, but I don't find this to be a deal breaker. I usually change AF mode via the i-Menu and besides, Kirk has a newer version V2 which allow more access if you prefer. I like how they eliminated the cross bar from the vertical dovetail to allow better access to the accessory ports on the Z9. Well done, Kirk!

[Arca-Type] Kirk L-brackets have always been my go-to L-bracket for years. They certainly did not disappoint with the L-bracket for the Z9. It fits perfectly, screws on easily and stays put, all at a great price! What more could you ask for?

[0.52 lb] After reading reviews on several L brackets, I settled on the Kirl- L bracket. When it arrived, it fit precisely, with no flex when in the vertical mode. It was easy to mount and remove.

[Arca-Type] I have purchased RRS and ProMediaGear L-Brackets for other camera bodies. This is my first purchase of a Kirk L-Bracket. I had heard of Kirk, and heard it's praises, but I thought that all L-Brackets were pretty much the same. However, upon installation, I found this Kirk L-Bracket to have a much better and more accurate fit. I'm quite impressed.

[Arca-Type] It's always a challenge getting accessories for new cameras. The Z9 is no exception. Kirk did an excellent job of engineering this L bracket. Fit is tight with no flex or movement. The supplied Allen wrench is securely attached to the bottom of the bracket. The side plate can be removed... a plus for sure. Battery replacement is sloth and unobstructed.
