A: This is a cinema lens. There are several differences and none of them are to do with sharpness. First cinema lenses are measured in T stops not F stops. This means that they calculate into the equation how much light the optics lets through (T stops let in more light than F stops). Second, the gear rings are different so that you can put a follow focus on it. Third it has a click less aperture for smooth adjustments during filming. Fourth it has the UMC coating which gives you a little different, more cinematic colors.A Rokinon lens will be as sharp as a Rokinon lens is. That's not a knock, I think they're pretty great for their price.

F-stop measure the size of the opening of a lens, while T-top measures the how much light passes through the lens. Because lenses have different characteristics, two different lenses set to f/4 might let in a slightly different amount of light. On the other hand, two lenses with the same T-stop will let in exactly the same amount of light, making it easier to match shots taken with two different lenses.
