Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Monopod mode can be used as extension for gimbal?

A: Yes, if a end-user really need the extra height it could be used with a gimbal but we would suggest to use with out ball head and a bushing is needed in order to do so. Q: 2. What is the folded length without the ball-head attached?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer only publishes the closed length with the head attached which is 23.3 inches.

Q: 3. Is the Three leg support included or a separate purchase?

A: The stabilizer is considered a separate purchase Please review the following item 3 Legged Thing DocZ2 Foot Stabilizer for Monopods (Gray/Black) BH #3LDOCZ2 • MFR #DOCZ2 https://bhpho.to/3nWle3H

Q: 4. I see that the this monopod can tilt side-to-side. My question: Can it also swivel left to right as one can do with a monopod without the stabilizing foot?

A: The monopod can swivel on the ball.

Q: 5. Is the mounting screw 1/4" or 3/8"? If it has both, how are they switched?

A: It has both (almost all monopods have both sizes). The 3 Legged Thing mounting plate comes with one 3/8” threaded screw in the center. The outer part can be retracted to reveal the 1/4”-20 thread.

Q: 6. can I use milibo mt705b monopod with myt803 fluid head?

A: No, the miliboo MYT803 Fluid Head with 75mm Bowl Base with Advanced Damping is a 75mm bowl head that does not offer a flat base that threads to the miliboo MTT705B Carbon Fiber Portable Monopod.

Q: 7. Is it the same carbon / construction of the MSD46C? or a better used of material? I understand that the MSD46C is longer ?

A: The construction is similar between the 2 models. Benro MSD46C72 SupaDupa Carbon Fiber Monopod with Tilt Head (72") goes to 72 inches when factoring in the tilt head. The MSD46C is 72 inches tall and does not include a head.

Q: 8. What is the length each foot?

A: The length of a single leg of the 3 Legged Thing DOCZ Foot Stabilizer is 6 (15.24 cm), and the diameter of the stabilizer's footprint is 11.8 (30 cm).

Q: 9. Is there a way to lock the swivel base? So the monopod can stand plumb on its own, with the weight of a speed lite.

A: Yes, you can lock out the swiveling base so the monopod will stand upright. This might be fine for the purposes of holding a speedlight, but it will greatly depend on the weight of the flash, how extended the monopod is, and the surface and wind conditions you're working in. It's not a perfect replacement for a light stand but might work in certain circumstances.

Q: 10. What is the difference between MTT705BS with this monopod

A: There is no discernable differences between the MTT705B and MTT705BS aside from their color scheme.

[Carbon Fiber] I was a bit skeptical what the quality would be considering the price. There are other monopods at 2 or 3 times the price. I was pleasantly surprised. Most importantly, it is very sturdy but light weight due to the carbon fiber construction. I like the 3 supportt legs with the rotating base which adds stability. I use it for wildlife with my Nikon D7100 attached with battery pack, mounting my Sigma 150-600 C lens, all weighing a whopping 8.5 to 9.0 lbs.

[Carbon Fiber] This monopod is light weight, only 1.4 lb and the leg diameter is 1.14 it feels solid in your hand. The top section is wrapped with rubber bubble grip so it feels comfortable to touch in winter time. This monopod can reach 80 high. When I mount my camera on top of it and flip the display screen down, I can take pictures from a vantage height with remote control release cable or Wi-Fi

[4] This is perfect for me. It's strong enough for my 200-500 lens without breaking my budget. I've purchased from 3 Legged Thing in the past (through B&H) and was very satisfied. They didn't disappoint this time either!!!

[2.08 lb] The Three Legged monopod is very sturdy. and because of its length you can shorten each section to make the joints more sturdy. A Wimberley MH-100 Mono Gimble Head holds the 12 pound Nikon 200-400mm lens and camera and allows you to swivel the lens instead of the monopod. The extra length is very packable and the extra weight is no bother compared to a tripod and standard wimberley gimble head. I previously purchased a manfrotto element monopod and found that when extended to its full length the joints wobbled and the bottom 1/2 inch diameter section seemed too thin for the wildlife shooting I do.

[Twist Lock] Haven't used it yet but looks solid!! I purchased a ballhead through B&H by 3 Legged Thing and was pleased with that so I'm sure I'll be pleased with this.

[Carbon Fiber] Being a taller person with a bad back I have a lot of issue with other monopods as I have to bend down to use them. This monopod extends to 80 inches so I can stand upright and be comfortable while shooting. Very durable and perfect for my needs!

[Carbon Fiber] I had an older 3 Legged Thing monopod that was just a little too light for my purposes so I looked at the Lance 4 section.......much more stability with this model. I don't use a monopod often but when I do need one this is the one that works for me!!
