[APS-C] I purchased this lens with hesitation. I watched many youTube videos about the lens and how it performs with Fujifilm X-series cameras. Most of the reviews were just above average. However, when I put this lens on my X-T3, I got outstanding picture quality. The lens is light and will not weigh you down when using for long periods of time. I plan to use this as one of my lens for a wedding I will photograph in a few months.

[APS-C] It's a beautiful lens, in build and function, also working well with digital zoom. Detents on the f stop ring would be helpful, otherwise the lens rates 100 %.

[52 mm (Front)] This is not a good lens for the price...

This is a good lens period. Light, small, portable... and most important of all... excellent optics. 

My personal sweet spot is F3 on this lens, but after taking several pictures, I have found that even wide open the lens takes very decent pictures with great color and detail.

This lens is comparable to the Fuji XC line of lenses. it doesn't have an aperture ring, it is made of plastic but the optics were not sacrificed in any way.

This lens is an absolute no-brainer. The value I got from this lens far surpasses its asking price. It is almost too good to be true. Seriously... thank you Viltrox!!!!!

[Sony E] I'm a beginner and do not want to invest in those prime lens without commit to shooting. It did give me great result comparing to my phone! I start to love shooting with my Fujifilm!

[28°] I bought this for our Sony a6000. It's been a great addition to our simple camera kit. It's well built and takes great portraits. We wanted a lens that can get the job done and we wouldn't be afraid if something unfortunate were to happen to it. This totally checks those boxes.

[28°] I bought this lens for my Z50 Nikon , I own the Viltrox 20mm 2.8 lens for my Nikon Z5, I was impressed by the results and by the solid construction of this lens . This is why I bought the Viltrox 56 mm 1.7 for portraits and as short telephoto. This is a good quality lens , optically, build and cosmetically. Mechanically the 56 mm acuratally works well with the Z camera. This lens is nice and light , AF IS FAST AND ACCURATE, also very easily focuses manually !

[APS-C] I'm using on my m50 and it works amazing( it's got great bokeh).

[f/1.8] Much smaller than I expected, but feels very well built. Autofocus is extremely snappy and so far pretty accurate (I'm using an x-t2 and x-h1).


Pretty sharp wide open, but with pretty bad chromatic aberration (to be expected of a lens of this cost). The CA isn't too terrible to fix in your editing software of choice. Gets extremely sharp once you stop down to f2 and above (CA lowers a ton as well).


Wish it was weather sealed, and I actually wish it had a plastic hood instead of metal (does a better job at absorbing hits, instead of just transferring it into the lens) but honestly there is basically nothing I can complain about.


Overall, I highly recomend!

[APS-C] I kept my expectations in check because of the price despite the great reviews on YouTube. Wow was I surprised. This lens is sharp. Very sharp corner to corner even wide open. It's only optical shortcoming is pronounced vignetting wide open which is easily correctable in post. If the 56mm focal length (84mm equivalent) works for you there is no reason not to have this lens in your bag.

[28°] Really nice lens. Love the size and build quality. Feels way more expensive than a sub $200 lens. Nice sharp photos and the autofocus motor is quiet and quick…. Indistinguishable from my other Nikkor lenses.
