Use this space gray Kondor Blue Camera Cage for RED V-RAPTOR - Space Grayto mount top handles, monitor mounts, or other accessories on top of your RED V-RAPTOR or KOMODO cinema camera. A standard NATO rail, four 1/4"-20 threaded holes, and a single ARRI 3/8"-16 threaded hole allow for a multitude of mounting options to expand the capabilities of your camera rig.

A locking pin secures the 15mm rod clamp to industry-standard 15mm rods for additional accessory mounting. Two 1/4"-20 screws and an included Allen key secure the rail to your camera.

Q: 6. A rep from Tilta is telling me that this will also send video signal to the SmallHD Focus Pro OLED, so that I can see video. Is this true?

A: The SmallHD Monitor/Camera Control Cable for DSMC2/RED KOMODO, does not carry a video signal. You would still need to connect an SDI cable from your camera to the monitor to carry a video signal.

Q: 7. Will this work with a Nikon Z6?

A: This is a universal cage which should work with most Mirrorless cameras. Since it fits cameras like the A7 it should work fine with the Z6.

Q: 8. Is there an option to use regular gold mounts since this camera is only micro v-mount? Is there backplate or conversion of somekind available?

Q: 9. Will there be auto focus? What about face and object tracking AF?

A: The Raptor V models will support PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) similar to the RED Komodo. Face and Eye detection has not been implemented.

A: Yes, this will work with a camera the size of the A7III.

[NSBM] Not sure why the other buyer had the issue. Mine fit perfectly with the S1H. There are two screws at each side to adjust how much you want the camera to sit in. For the S1H, I removed those two screws and the camera fits very well to the cage, but still maintain tiny air gaps. As for the functions and value, it is really hard to beat. We can slide the camera into the cage and then slide it out for mounting to the gimbal without any tool. Functionally very similar to how Bright Tangerine thinks about designs but the price from Kondor Blue is in the affordable side. 5

[NSBM] Look no further, this is the perfect cage for the R5C. It's also the only one that give doesn't block the left side of the body, so you can use any VND adapter like the Meike, KipperTie Revolva or Breakthrough. Super easy to assemble and the top handle with the record/stop button is a must for any serious video shooter. Worth every penny. 5

[NSBM] I finally built my proper cinema rig, and this camera cage is the perfect addition to it. The cage is extremely sturdy with no flex at all, and it has a ton of mounting options for extra gear. I love that the carry handle comes with a recording start/stop button, and that it also has a bubble level, magnetically held tools in the baseplate and a sensor plane mark/screw. The cage also has the support strut on the left of the lens rather than the right, so I can use my Meike EFTR-CL drop in filter adapter without issue, unlike with other cages. This cage costs more than the smallrig and tilta options, but it is worth the premium for those features. Also it just looks super cool! 5

[NSBM] I'm very surprised of how well designed this kit is. My main reason to buy this over the Tilta one is the open ventilation on the top, instead of the grid that comes in the Tilta and partially block the exhaust area of the camera. Everything else is nicely designed and executed. Great kit. 5

[NSBM] Looks good, works good, and even feels good holding a decent size rig. Love having the record button on the handle- I can hold it low to the ground and start/stop recording all with one hand. 5

[NSBM] I use this top handle with a Kondor Blue top plate on the Canon EOS C70. The record button on top is a life saver. The build is solid and B&H delivery is always super fast. I recommend this product. 5
