The pack has a harness that is designed to efficiently transfer weight to your hips, with length adjustment that adjusts to the length of your torso. Airflow channels improve breathability and an adjustable padded waist belt pivots to offer range of motion while carrying.

The aluminum frame transfers the weight of the pack to the waist belt and your hips to more comfortably support heavy loads. Two attached horizontal aluminum stays keep the frame rigid.

Adjustable straps attach the shoulder strap to the top of the pack and pull the pack weight toward your body. This keeps the center of gravity close to your core and the weight on your hips.

Using the correct torso length helps keep most of the pack weight on your hips. The ActivLift torso length adjustment system covers a range from 14-19". Once the torso length is adjusted to the proper fit, the targeted back pads can be adjusted to maximize airflow.

The chest strap adjusts and locks to help balance the pack's weight by keeping the shoulder straps centered. This strap slides up and down along the shoulder straps and secures into position with an easy-lock clip.

The waist belt is designed to pivot separately from the pack while still providing support. This allows your hips and shoulders to move freely when going uphill or crossing uneven terrain. There is also a multi-density lumbar pad between the waist belt and your body. The waist pad length and location is adjustable thanks to the ActivLift system and can fit a range of belt widths from 28 to 48".

The pack has 11 compression straps to help stabilize the load. These straps squeeze the pack closer to the internal frame, bringing it closer to your body for better weight transfer and balance.

This pack is made from 100% recycled carbonate-coated 420D nylon that is durable and resistant to abrasion, dirt, mud, and moisture. The interior lining is also made from 100% recycled fabric. The camera insert is made from 50% recycled fabric and the AW cover is made from 100% recycled fabric.

While 420D nylon has a lighter denier, it is durable and is resistant to tearing and abrasion. The fabric's carbonate exterior coating provides an extra layer of protection, absorbing scratches and preventing snags from reaching the fabric below. This coating also makes it easy to wipe off dirt, dust, and mud. The fabric's light color reflects the sun's rays to keep your gear at comfortable temperatures. The bottom of the bag has the same 420D nylon and carbonate coating but with a diamond ripstop pattern weave that provides additional protection against tears and punctures, preventing them from becoming larger.

The Green line label is a loading bar that indicates what percentage of sustainable materials were used to create the bag. The label also represents Lowepro's commitment to protecting the world along with the company's journey towards sustainability.

[Yes] This was the perfect blend for me of a bag that can hold enough but is not a pro going to a movie set. I have two Sony lenses in their cases in the top compartment with a zoom lens attached to A7SIII in the protected compartment in the bottom for run and gun. The quality is great, the price is high but its a company that treats people right and has an eco friendly eye. Worth it.

[Universal] This is a great bag for multi day backing trips. It really sits squarely between a traditional backpacking bag from something like Osprey and an outdoor camera bag. That’s something I’ve not seen in an other bag. The detachable “brain” top, the different compartments allowing for light/heavy/light packing, water bladder support, as well as the highly adjustable strap system are all features I would expect on high backpacking bags and are really hard to find on camera bags. I also have an Atlas pack that claims to play in this same space but just doesn’t have the features to be a true backing bag and is really just a nice day hike bag.

The camera space is appropriate for multi day trips where equipment is the priority. That said, I can get my whole GFX kit with three big lens so it can hold a good amount.
Once I got the strap system dialed in, it carried 35+ pounds really well.

For me, the only legitimate alternative to this bag is a “real” backpacking bag with a third party cube added in. The price on this bag is steep, but the alternative is just about as expensive.

[Green] I will not say what everyone else has said. It's a great bag, it's 24L total. The camera compartment included is the same as GearUp Creator Box L II which is nicer IMO. But the velcro of the bag door wouldn't connect to the Creator Box L II since the inside door material is nylon. It doesn't have a laptop compartment but it can hold a 13 in the water bladder compartment with a sleeve for extra protection. I would recommend using this with a mirrorless camera, it would have plenty of room for accessories. If used with a bigger DSLR, of course it will work but would take up room in the compartment. So far I love it and it's a great travel companion and very light.

[Yes] I have a Lowepro pack that will hold a couple bodies plus assorted lenses and gear, but it is huge and cumbersome. I was looking for something I could use on day hikes and this is well-suited to my needs. I can put a Canon R5 with RF macro lens plus a couple extension tubes in the lower portion, a tripod on the side, and my flash unit, lunch, even lightweight rain jacket in the upper compartment. A water bottle can also go in the upper compartment, or I can put a hydration bladder in the provided pocket. This has been perfect for what I needed.

[Universal] As the title suggests, this is the backpack I’ve been waiting for. It is exactly what I’ve been looking for, for backpacking multiple days in the backcountry with my camera. The camera cube it comes with holds my Z7ii, 14-24 2.8, 24-120 f4 and 70-200 2.8. That said, when doing a lot of miles in a day, I usually only bring the 14-24 and 24-120. This is definitely a niche pack in that it is for backpacking with camera gear. It shouldn’t be confused with a hiking or “outdoor” camera backpack where the focus is being able to carry just camera gear and then some odds and ends. This bag can hold your sleeping back, tent, tripod and whatever else you made need. Material feels substantial and the straps and harness feel great. Highly recommend.

[Yes] This bag is perfect for me. In the camera carrier, it holds my Fuji XT3 with the 50-140 attached, with just enough room for one or two wider primes. The rest of the bag has plenty of room for my lunch, a jacket, water, and an extra body or other camera gear. It fits my back and shoulders well and is comfortable to wear. A bonus is the camera carrier is also removable which let's me shove it in other larger packs if I need more room. I had an older 2015 version of this same pack and I have to say this big upgrade. I really like it.
