[Aluminum] Took my photos with my 28-70 to the next level, it now lives on that lens and probably will forever. The 1/4 grade is absolutely perfect for everyday use. Will definitely be looking into different sizes for other lenses.

[Aluminum] It holds 6-7 cards plus 4-5 notes. Easy to access any card you need while keeping the overall thickness very low. Like the design.

[Glass] This filter was a pleasure to use. I find that it performs best in sunlight and dusk settings. I intended to use this with a mist filter; however, I found this star filter seems to naturally have a 10% mist effect that softens an image even when there are no light sources to create a star effect. I will say that if used after dark and in a city environment, the effect can be a quite strong and distracting.

[Aluminum] Most photographers use at least one diffusion filter for portraits, whether a professional whose clients need to look great, or the rest of us who want to flatter Granny at her 90th birthday celebration party. I have kids with iffy complexions in their adolescence and didn’t want to rely too heavily on Photoshop for the fix.

For use on my Quattro DP2, this filter does a fine job of holding small details like eyelashes, yet blends blemishes well. (One caveat: a large blackhead or dark pimple may be accentuated, depending on circumstances, so a white diffusion filter or dab of concealer could be needed.) Since the eyes and lashes/eyebrows hold their detail portraits can be very flattering with this Tiffen product.

It looks odd by itself as it appears to be glass with a pattern of little black marks all over it, where I more or less expected some type of black screen or grid. Not being an optical engineer and as well as the filter works, I chalk it up to FM.

Also, I prefer to use Tiffen products in general as they have always be good quality, competitively priced, and made in the good ol’ U. S. of A.; what’s not to like?

[Glass] I own two of these for two camera shoots. They produce a nice subtle softening for skin and reduction in overall contrast. Not too much, just enough to take the edge of digital cinema cameras.

[Glass] I recently purchased the Neewer 5-in-1 Magnetic Filter Kit & have been using them on a Nikon D750 with a 28-300mm lens, so far I love the results! The magnetic ring & filters are so much easier & faster to use than screw on ND filters. Before I was Using a variable ND filter & most of my images turned out unusable due to dark splotches in different parts of the image. I have not had any such problems with these filters. Great product for a decent price.
