[2x ] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of this Samsung HW-Q800D soundbar because we had a need for it and once we received it is when we fell in love. This soundbar is amazing because of how well it makes it sound like you have an actual home theater setup without all the extra hardware. Upon receiving the soundbar, unpacking and setting it up was a breeze since all it required was plugging it in. Our family really liked the look of the soundbar because of how sleek and stylish it looks amongst the furniture and the TV stand. The included remote also looks really nice and easy to understand while being very functional.

Now onto the main star of the show which is the sound quality. First off the great thing about this soundbar is the fact that it has so many sound modes as well support for different sound profiles and codecs. Some of the modes that I love are Adaptive sound which changes the sound as needed for different scenes in a movie for example during dialogue heavy scenes or during action scenes. My kids love the game mode pro when they play games since it makes the games feel like you are actually in it. Everyone also knows how much Dolby Atmos is a game changer when it comes to watching movies today with its ability bring sound around you with its upfiring speakers. The mode that I cant wait to try out is Q-Symphony once I get my new Samsung TV since it uses the speakers from the TV in conjunction with the soundbar which would truly fill the room with sound. All in all this is an amazing soundbar that truly makes your setup into a home theater.

[2x ] We have the Samsung S95D TV paired with the Samsung Q-series 5.1.5 HW-Q800D soundbar. They work great together; we love it when the TV and the soundbar are in the Q-Symphony sound mode. In the Q-Symphony sound mode we are utilizing both the TV speakers and Soundbar speakers together. The sound is awesome. The only thing that we would like to see in the near future is a software upgrade that would allow the Auto Volume control feature to be used when in the Q-Symphony mode. The Auto Volume control feature Is not available when using an external speaker. The Auto Volume feature equalizes the sound automatically so that the volume level remains the same when you change between channels and video sources.

[ARC, CEC, eARC] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never purchased a soundbar or had one in our home and wanted to get the opportunity to put one upstairs in our loft area. The sound is incredible and we have listened to music on there as well as watched movies. I’m impressed with the quality considering the cost and would highly recommend this product. I’m excited to see the longevity of the product and test other features but as of now I’m quite happy with my purchase and would do it over again. Setup was also incredibly easy and the provided instructions were not hard to follow at all. The Q-symphony feature is my favorite in that it provides a deep and rich sound, especially when we are watching movies with the soundbar. Also the voice amplifier function is nice because as there is background noise im still able to hear audio clearly from what the soundbar is producing. Lastly the Dolby Atmos surround sound is some of the best out there, you get theater quality output for sound that captures low voices well and really amplifies the loud sounds too.

[2x ] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I literally have a whole new appreciation for sounds now due to all the small little nuances and effects that are brought to life through Dolby Atmos or Dts:x. I've listened to my extensive music library now multiple times just since getting this beacuse quite simply not only does the music seem alive but honestly there are so many other cool effects I'd never heard in a song I had listened to hundreds of times even. Why!? Beacuse most speakers were not able to produce the sounds and if they were when they tried it wasn't clear and ran together with all the other noise. This soundbar is just great all around for music , movies and games and brings another level of depth with its crisp clear soundstage. A+

[ARC, CEC, eARC] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] amazing sound!!! watching movies is amazing, you can hear sounds all around you. playing video games, you get a better experience from playing racing games and using simulators makes you really hear the vehicle!!!

[SBC] This sound bar works great! Setup was slightly confusing with the app, but support helped me out and it’s working now. Very good sound quality, good bass, the eARC works as expected. I would recommend this to someone looking for a good mid-grade sound bar system.

[ARC, CEC, eARC] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had gotten the HW-Q800D to place in a room which I did not want to add separate rear surround speakers in, my master bedroom. The room is medium sized. This soundbar blew my last one out of the water. The separation of audio channels that I can hear is quite amazing in such a small and sleek package. Distortion or muffled dialog is not an issue at all.

The clarity of sound from very low volume to quite high volume is very good. Also, the bass is smooth from the subwoofer and is easily scalable to personal needs/wants.

For the look, it is quite compact and works perfect with my 65" TV. I also appreciate the small front facing LED display which shows needed information. Also, not distracting as it is dim and disappears.

In the past, I have had issues with various manufacturers/models of soundbars regarding the wireless subwoofer cutting in and out due to the Orbi WiFI Mesh system we use at our home. This model has had zero issues regarding this and I'm very pleased with that.

I would highly recommend trying this soundbar out for most sized areas where rear surrounds are not wanted or can not be used.

[Bass-Reflex] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Q800D Soundbar is mind blowing with how clear and satisfying it sounds. I have a few Samsung sound bars and I can't believe how Samsung keeps raising the bar (lol) every time. This soundbar shines with Dolby Atmos content, the immersion is surprisingly better than some home theater setups that are much more expensive. I wish there were more HDMI inputs on the soundbar and that it could support waking up when using a PC. But other than that, this soundbar has modern features that'll work in any smart home ecosystem.
