Offering the ultimate in image quality, the X-T5 features a 40MP X-Trans 5 HR CMOS sensor in a compact, lightweight body that maximizes functionality and portability. Imaging performance is in no way compromised by the camera's diminutive proportions. Instead, the X-T5's improved image processing algorithm delivers outstanding results and is packed with details right across the native ISO range.

A dynamic camera with powerful video functions, movies can be recorded internally at up to 6.2K at 30p in 4:2:2 10-bit color, plus there's a 4K HQ mode which oversamples 6.2K footage for superior 4K output. This higher video resolution unlocks 2x digital zoom functionality, providing additional in-camera versatility without a noticeable drop in quality.

Both F-Log and F-Log2 recording are possible, with the latter providing an expanded dynamic range of 13+ stops. Additionally, 12-bit ProRes RAW and Blackmagic RAW can be output via HDMI to Atomos and Blackmagic devices accordingly.

Featuring outstanding autofocus performance, the X-T5 utilizes 425 phase-detection points and is now sensitive down to -7 EV for working in truly low-light conditions. Also, backed by deep learning, an AI adaptive algorithm means this focusing system is better suited to automatically detect and track animals, athletes, birds, cars, motorcycles, and moving subjects.

Thanks to the camera's in-body image stabilization (IBIS) system, quality-sapping camera shake is minimized. Built-in 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to 7 stops. This system works in conjunction with most X Series lenses, including non-stabilized ones, and benefits working with slower shutter speeds and when shooting in difficult lighting conditions. Additionally, digital image stabilization can also be used during video recording to further aid in steadying footage, especially when recording handheld.

Utilizing the camera's IBIS system to precisely shift the sensor, Pixel Shift Multishot automatically records 20 separate frames with one press of the shutter release. Resulting files are combined using Pixel Shift Combiner software to quadruple the camera's resolution and produce a detail-rich, 160MP file. Perfect for commercial applications or digital archiving, it's also ideal for any static subject where image quality is of primary importance.

The X-T5 provides powerful image making performance to ensure it's ready for action, no matter how fast your subject is moving. A top electronic shutter speed of 1/180,000 sec and a maximum mechanical shutter speed of 1/8000 sec will stop any subject in its tracks, while a lag time of just 35 ms gives an almost instantaneous response when the shutter release is pressed. Keep a finger down, and the X-T5 will record images at up to 15 fps with the mechanical shutter, or 20 fps with the electronic shutter. Either way, no important moment will be missed.

Film Simulation modes allow you to reproduce the look and feel of several of FUJIFILM's film types, including Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, PRO Neg.Std, PRO Neg. Hi, Classic Neg., Nostalgic Neg., Eterna Cinema, Eterna Bleach Bypass, Acros, Acros + Ye Filter, Acros + R Filter, Acros + G Filter, Black & White, Black & White + Ye Filter, Black & White + R Filter, Black & White + G Filter, and Sepia.

  • Large OLED electronic viewfinder features a crisp 3.69m-dot resolution for bright, clear, and detailed eye-level viewing. Additionally, this EVF offers 0.8x magnification for an easy-to-view image that is further enhanced by improved suppression of parallax and distortion compared to its predecessor. The 100 fps refresh rate, meanwhile, allows virtually blackout-free image making.
  • Large 3.0" 1.84m-dot LCD touchscreen for intuitive operation and playback, and the tilting design greatly benefits working from high and low shooting angles.
  • Utilizing an NP-W235 battery, up to 680 frames can be recorded from a single charge, plus the mechanical shutter guarantees 500,000 actuations, delivering long-term accuracy and reliability.

  • Micro-HDMI port for outputting video to an external recorder or monitor.
  • USB 3.2 Gen 2 port supports tethering, data transfer, and in-camera battery charging.
  • 3.5mm external microphone port for greater control over audio recording.
  • PC sync port for flash sync.
  • 2.5mm remote port for using wired remote controllers.
  • Integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity allows for wirelessly sharing images to a mobile device or to use the device to remotely control the camera.

[1x USB-C Input] Upgraded from xt10/20/30 to now to something bigger xt5. I love the little details, how dials feel when you click to just general fit and finish.

IBIS and auto focus improvements are just right for my photography needs and bigger EVF is nice.

[Yes] Got it delivered the day after it's release (it was a pre-order). Great first impression, looking forward to using this camera, after trading in well used, older, cameras (all purchased at B&H, of course).

[Bulb Mode] Compared to the X-T4 this is indeed a bit smaller/lighter but with all the great aspects the XT-fleet has offered. Looking forward to using it for urban & light-weight travel photo adventures!

[1:1, 3:2, 16:9] I purchased two Fuji camera before, this is the first time camera came without a manual. I did not see any instruction how to get it either. I guess Fuji assumes you will figure out. (Download 450 pages) Another issue, it comes with USB-C wire. I have a iMac, not too old, but has USB-A connection. I had to buy USB C to A wire. Last, Apple photo transferred the raw image data (first pictures) without actual image? I transferred to adobe and was able to see the images. Initial google search was not helpful, hopefully I will figure out.

[1x USB-C Input] I've been using the X-T line for over 8 years, first X-T1, then X-T2 and after that I just didn't see too much drive to upgrade except the lack of IBIS. Meanwhile I moved partially to Nikon fullframe. I spent a lot of time convincing myself that the Nikon camera and lenses are nice to use...And then the X-T5 appeared! I preordered rigth away. Now, after a 10-day foreign land trip my love for Fuji X-T cameras is again in full blossom. The sensor and processor are wonderful that permeate the images with brilliant colors and tones. Saturation is otherwordly. Autofocus, one of the weaknesses of my X-T2, but not terrible at all as some tended to suggest, tremendously improved. Ergonomics even better that on the older cameras and the grip, despite being smallish, is perferct. It is a pleasure to work with the camera and to look at it! I can't wait to go out for birding with my XF 100-400 mm lens. Strongly recommend upgrading to anyone who likes Fuji cameras.

[0.5"] Back to the future! GREAT form factor; FANTASTIC battery life; TERRIFIC aesthetic and photog-centric design; and BEAUTIFUL pics!! Autofocus is wonderfully FAST. Is it perfect? No - as High ISO may need managing, and so too low light continuous focusing at longer distances. However the community is huge, and slights can be managed not only by tweaks and custom button changes of firmware (turning off IBIS), but through Fuji's commitment to continuous improvement of firmware (Kaizen). I really like this upgrade from the XT-3!

[Stills & Video] I upgraded from an XT-3. My only mistake was I should have purchased in Silver so I could tell the difference between the two! They are almost identical.

Main differences are: the IBIS which is EXTREMELY useful when shooting handheld; Improved AF - there is no comparison - the XT-5 is so much quicker and useful; and then the improved resolution from 26MP to 40MP. I do a lot of cropping so this is very helpful.

I did read a review that call the XT-5 a Super Charged XT-3 - Overall, I must consider this a quite accurate assessment. For me it is well worth the investment.

[1x USB-C Input] I am a professional portrait and editorial photographer. I have been an avid Nikon user for many years but now I have officially transitioned over to FujiFilm. My love affair with FujiFilm began first with the purchase of the X100v, which I bought to take with me on my vacation. I absolutely love this little camera and it has inspired me to go out and shoot more often. The X-T5 is simply amazing - the FujiFilm color science (along with it's infinite film recipes) is incredible. I still love shooting film, so the retro look and feel of these two cameras is a marriage made in heaven. Thank you FujiFilm, for making me fall in love again with photography!

[0.5"] I am a Sony A7V/RIV shooter and I had added Fuji X-T4 to my kit about a year ago as a walkaround/fun camera for lower pace, artsy photo outings and street photography. Its design provided a more tactile, slower, old-school shooting experience; the 'recipes' less need for post processing, all of which I love. But the focus system left me unimpressed and wanting more. When X-T5 was announced, I preordered it with excitement and with some trepidation due to the new higher density sensor potentially diminishing the superb performance of the sensors in the older bodies. I was very happy to see that there is no regression, and in fact, I think the noise profile has improved in a way. Compared to X-T4, there isn't less noise necessarily, but noise that does exist looks better to my eyes. The famous Fuji colors and image quality are all there as well. Coupled with the better focusing system, effecive in-body stabilization and the zippier processor, I think the X-T5 is the top of the line enthusiast camera in 2022. I still feel Sony bodies are better suited face unpredicted/unknown shooting conditions and for high-paced/high-pressure pro jobs, but to me and I suspect for many Fuji users as well, the X-T series is not for that type of photography anyway. If you like the whole Fujifilm subculture, or want to go back to fundamentals and nostaliga of photography as art, it is the camera to get. Highly recommended.
