[Foldable] I was going to buy the cheaper versions of these, but I decided since I spent so much on the lights, I better buy the ones LitePanels uses. I'm glad I did. These work great, are easy to setup and are very compact when transporting. Be sure to read the instructions when putting them on and taking them off, since there is a tiny learning curve. Otherwise, these are great and are definitely worth the extra money to spend on them.

[Foldable] This light is super impressive, the RGB colors are very pure and the flexibility with white balance is very very useful when working with mixed lighting on location. The app is pretty good, but the on-screen controls are so well implemented I usually just adjust things there. Yeah it's pricier than budget lights but the quality of the output and flexibility is very valuable. The design may also not please everyone (I love it), but it seems incredibly durable and a good balance of discreet and eye-catching. The only weaknesses I found were how bulky the protective case is, and the effects were not as extensive or impressive as some other brands (though, that seems pretty clearly not really the point of this light).


Huge kudos as well to the Kelvin support team. I purchased mine used here on B&H and a the previous owner had removed and disassembled a part and stuck it in a bag. Kelvin support were not only willing to send me detailed instructions on how to fix it, but even mailed some replacement pins at no cost to me. Amazing support, very confidence inspiring!


It's definitely a bit of a jump to pick this over other lights, especially when cheaper and more powerful options are available. However, if you like the idea of buy once and the design and durability appeal to you as they did to me, this might the perfect light.

[Foldable] Purchased two of these along with the Astra’s and they work great! I’ve used Chimera’s for a couple of decades with various lights and love them, too. But, I find that these set up as fast and are of the same quality as the Chimera’s. The first time using them, it did take a bit to get them situated correctly. But now, I can attach them in less than 30 seconds (not counting the front defusion). I like the fact that you don’t need a speed ring, and they fold up fast. They are worth the extra money and will last as long as anything else out there.

[Foldable] The Snapbag is well built, installs quickly, packs down flat, and does a fine job diffusing your light. Could it be bigger? Yeah, maybe, but for it's size, it does an excellent job.

[Foldable] I finally broke down and got these after fixing 216 with gaf to my Astras. I don't know why I waited- These soft boxes are a snap to put on, really! They soften and shape the output of the Astra perfectly! The combination of a 1x1 and this soft box makes arguably the most important lighting tool on the market today!
