Your action camera mounts onto the upper standard 3-prong mount and secures with the included thumbscrew. On the base, you can utilize one of the two 2-prong mounts or the 1/4"-20 thread mount to mount your camera onto a selfie stick, tripod, vehicle mount, or other action camera mount. The base mount options attach to the upper mount using magnetic alignment, and they are locked by a simple twist. They are further secured using a locking switch on the side.
