A: This i a little difficult to answer since the opening arms have a small lip on them. Minimum appears to be 1 7/8 inch or 50 mm; widest opening is approximately 3 5/8 or 90 mm. It's a very stiff spring so very hard to hold it open and measure it. It works fine with my iPhone 5s which is why I bought it. My spouse's iPhone 6plus also fits easily.
