A: The device uses a solid state Peltier junction - this device gets cold on one side and hot on the other side when current is applied. In this case the cold side is inside of the cabinet and the hot side is on the outside of the cabinet with the large heat sink. You will also notice that there are openings on the hot side and you can see a sponge. Moisture from the inside of the cabinet is condensed onto the cold side of the cooler and drips into a tray. The sponge wicks the moisture out of the cabinet and evaporates it using the heat from the hot side to assist. It is an elegant solution for a small volume of air - no moving parts.

A: Without actually getting the equipment and putting it in the cabinet there is not a way to be positive if it will fit all of your specific equipment. I do feel it is too much equipment for it. Best is to on the floor tape out the interior size of 11.3 x 11.4 rectangle. And then take equipment and place it in the taped area and see what fits. There are two shelves so you have three landings. And make note of the height of your equipment as the total interior height of the cabinet is 20.9".
