The Sirui VH-15 Fluid Video Head, pronounced Soo-Ray, is a precision-machined aluminum video head that supports up to 22 pounds. It features a fixed spring counterbalance that helps bring the head to a neutral position and variable tilt drag, with 0 drag for fast tilt positioning; pan drag is preset and fixed. The pan and tilt locks allow you to set a shot and lock off the head so it doesn't move for lock-off shots.

The Manfrotto compatible sliding Quick Release (QR) plate helps to balance your camera, and the head comes with a safety lock for the QR plate. The head features 2 bubble levels, and the VH-15 Video Head can be mounted to available ball adapters, tripods, and other camera supports, not included, via the 3/8" threaded female receiver on the flat base.

Precision machining and forged aircraft aluminum body provides a rugged, reliable head that weighs less than two pounds.

The fixed spring counterbalance works to return the fluid head to its neutral position.

Individual pan and tilt locks allow you to lock one axis without affecting the movement of the other.

The head incorporates two bubble levels. One is found on the base of the head, so you can level the legs. The second bubble level is built into the side of the camera platform.

The VH-15 head can be mounted on available flat base tripod legs. Available adapters, not included, allow you to mount the fluid head to tripods with a 75mm bowl.

[14 x 8.4 x 6.8"] This is my first sirui fluid head and I'm impressed with the build of the product. While the build is important the ability to have a seamless fluid head is very important in video and this video head performed. Have no fear... purchase with the monopod or tripod! 5

[Fluid Head] I cannot find fault in the superior construction of this video head. However, it would be nice of the pan drag were adjustable. With a Sirui P-426S the monopod panning mechanism seems to work best, the VH-10 being a bit heavy on the drag for this combination. Have not had a chance to use it with a standard tripod, but I think it would be superb. Nearly purchased a VA-5, glad I bumped up to the VH-10 to use with a 5D4 and 70-200 2.8L. Just the right balance. 5

[14 x 8.4 x 6.8"] Works great mounted on a MeFOTO GlobeTrotter aluminum tripod supporting a Sony A7 camera. The counterbalance works well with a 70-200 lens attached. I wish the screw on the quick release plate had a d-ring but it's a minor issue. I give the the VH-10 4.9 stars. 5

[14 x 8.4 x 6.8"] I bought this fluid head primarily for use in landscape and wildlife photography. It's been on my tripod for a couple of months now and I love it. Pan and tilt is smooth and it locks down fine. I had considered the Manfrotto, but I'm glad that I went with the Sirui instead. I'd buy it again. 5

[Yes] I have used and love the Sirui VA-5 head for years with my spotting scopes ranging from the tiny Kowa 553 to the monstrous Swaro BTX 115. The VA-5 handled them all great, but I wanted something a little beefier for full sized spotter where weight wasn't an issue. This thing manhandles a heavy spotter, on a heavy tripod...really love it for my biggest glass. 5

[+75° to -90°] B&H exchanged the first VH-10, where the clamp was adjusted too tightly to work with some third-party plates (notably Sachtler). The second VH-10 is adjusted better, but still just a little tight for Sachtler plates. At issue is that the plate clamp lever has a stop at wide open which is factory set, and the Sirui plates are a little narrower than ones from Sachtler, Gitzo and Manfrotto. It seems Sachtler are the fattest even though they are all more or less compatible. I use Kirk SQRC 501PL adapters in combination with RRS camera plates, and the Kirk fits these heads with no problem. Keep in mind that the Sirui plates are not fully compatible with Manfrotto inasmuch as they do not have the right tab underneath and will slide out forward freely on a Manfrotto 577. Despite all this, this is a beautiful head, very smooth, very lightweight, very compact, very solid, and a pleasure to work with, given its limitations with a fixed counterbalance and no pan drag adjustment. With all this going for it, I want to make it work for me! The counterbalance seems very torquey maybe because of the head's small size, and seems a little stronger than I would expect for its rated 2kg. That's an advantage for a heavier load, but it makes it less usable for a small DSLR with a relatively small prime lens. If you have a growing amount of cinematography gear, this head can't possibly be your only solution, but you might find it is perfect for certain mobile purposes, for the right configuration. 5

[14 x 8.4 x 6.8"] Love it!!! 5 's would give more if I could. Excellent build quality, exactly what I was looking for. purchased a Manfrotto 502 and returned it, just too bulky and didn't feel right. This Sirui is silky smooth and counterbalance is perfect for not too heavy rig. Light/medium weight camera setup is perfection! Recommend 10 out of 10. Pan drag settings are so smooth! I would definitely buy another. 5
